Bentley Systems appoints Cate Lochead as Chief Marketing Officer

Bentley Systems has appointed Cate Lochead as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing more than two decades of experience in enterprise software marketing to the role.

Cate Lochead's professional background includes leadership positions at major technology companies, such as Oracle and Intuit. She has also previously served as Chief Marketing Officer for software firms operating in AI, data, and security sectors. Her expertise encompasses positioning advanced technologies for increased market awareness and adoption.

Bentley Systems focuses on software solutions for infrastructure engineering, supporting the sector's requirements across multiple engineering disciplines and industry segments. The company's offerings address industry challenges in transportation, water, energy, cities, and mining, while aiming to aid sustainable and resilient infrastructure development.

Bentley Systems' Chief Executive Officer, Nicholas Cumins, commented on the appointment, stating:

Bentley is preparing to host its annual Year in Infrastructure Conference in Amsterdam. This event includes the Going Digital Awards, which recognises projects that demonstrate excellence in digital infrastructure initiatives globally.

Three Australian projects have been listed as finalists for the Going Digital Awards, highlighting work in construction and infrastructure delivery on an international stage. The Australian finalists are Acciona's M80 Ring Road completion in the Construction category, Arcadis' Warringah Freeway Upgrade in the Roads and Highways category, and APD Global's digital transformation of the 132kV Bunning Lake Substation in Transmission and Distribution.

The Going Digital Awards finalists span several categories, reflecting the range of Bentley Systems' user base and application areas. Notable projects among the finalists include:
