Entuity V23.0 boosts remote monitoring with agents

Tue, 10th Feb 2026

Park Place Technologies has released an update to its Entuity infrastructure monitoring and management software, introducing a new agent architecture aimed at remote sites and small offices.

Entuity V23.0 adds lightweight agents that run on local systems and connect back to a central Entuity server. The update is designed for organisations that need visibility across distributed IT and operational environments, where installing and maintaining a full monitoring stack at every location can be impractical.

Monitoring platforms are often considered a potential weak point because they may require broad administrative access to collect detailed server and operating system data. V23.0 addresses this by using a local agent on the host being monitored, reducing the need to store administrator or root credentials on the central Entuity server.

Remote Agents

The updated architecture uses remote polling agents to extend monitoring into remote locations and small office/home office environments. Agents are managed centrally through Entuity's web-based administration pages and dashboards. Administrators can check agent status, view installed applications and versions, and apply permitted changes through the agent.

Park Place positions the approach as a way to expand monitoring beyond traditional network environments while keeping central control of configuration and updates. The initial scope covers server, operating system, and storage assets.

"Entuity's new agent architecture allows for enhanced delivery of the platform via lightweight, remote polling agents," said Lee Walker, VP, Software Engineering for Entuity.

Walker said the company expects use cases across remote sites, end-customer offices, and home offices.

"IT teams and MSPs will be able to deploy agents to remote sites, end-customer offices and home offices to significantly expand the platform's reach and scalability," Walker said.

He added that the agent design is intended to support additional functions beyond the initial target systems.

"While the initial release targets server, OS and storage assets, this architecture lays the foundation for a wide range of future capabilities that our team is already building," Walker said.

Local Monitoring

V23.0 also adds local agent monitoring as a foundation feature. The agent monitors the host where it is installed, supporting segregated network environments and reducing the need to share server credentials.

Organisations can monitor Linux or Windows servers through the agent using a simplified configuration process. With this approach, administrator- or root-level credentials do not need to be stored or updated on the Entuity server.

Streaming Telemetry

The release also adds streaming telemetry, intended to provide a more continuous feed of infrastructure data than traditional polling. Entuity V23.0 incorporates the Telegraf agent from InfluxData, broadening the range of systems and asset types Entuity can monitor.

V23.0 supports Cisco Model-Driven Telemetry, DMTF's Redfish, and gNMI, along with web interface integration for real-time data visibility. The telemetry approach can also be extended to other Telegraf modules.

Entuity also supports user-defined data receivers. Data ingested through those receivers is integrated with the Entuity data model and made available across the web interface with additional attributes and key metrics.

Configuration Changes

The update includes configuration management improvements that allow users to set parameters for scheduled tasks. Park Place said these changes improve performance and scalability through a more organised interface.

V23.0 also expands device support across servers, storage, and network devices, improving coverage of critical infrastructure assets.

Park Place President of Solutions Delivery, David Cramer, said the release is designed to address evolving infrastructure monitoring requirements.

"With the introduction of a robust remote agent architecture, streaming telemetry and expanded device coverage, Entuity Software V23.0 now empowers organisations to meet modern infrastructure monitoring challenges head-on," said David Cramer, President, Solutions Delivery at Park Place Technologies.

Existing Entuity customers with active maintenance contracts can upgrade to V23.0 at no additional cost. New users can be onboarded directly to the latest release.
