Omnissa launches secure suite to protect SaaS & web access

Thu, 9th Oct 2025

Omnissa has announced the release of the Omnissa Secure Access Suite, which integrates Google Chrome Enterprise Premium with Omnissa Workspace ONE to support secure browser-based access to enterprise applications.

New suite launched

The Omnissa Secure Access Suite is designed to enable organisations to provide secure and seamless access to software-as-a-service (SaaS) and web applications. The suite aims to address key use cases such as bring-your-own (BYO) device scenarios and compliance requirements in sectors including healthcare and financial services.

Bharath Rangarajan, Senior Vice President of Products and Technology Alliances at Omnissa, said the partnership with Google underlines Omnissa's focus on advancing secure solutions:

"Our partnership with Google reflects the commitment Omnissa has to advancing our platform with security at the core. The Omnissa Secure Access Suite adds advanced security and data protections to SaaS and web applications, building on the seamless and unified access experience delivered by the Omnissa platform."

Addressing access and security needs

As more business applications are delivered through SaaS and cloud services, organisations face increased challenges in securing data and managing access among employees, contractors and partners. The Omnissa Secure Access Suite utilises Chrome Enterprise's secure browser to establish a common access point for these applications.

The solution aims to provide IT and security teams with tools to enforce compliance, protect sensitive information, and support productivity. Enhanced protections in Chrome Enterprise enable risk-based conditional access, the enforcement of data loss prevention policies directly in the browser, and defences against threats such as phishing and malware across desktop and mobile devices.

Designed for evolving needs

Omnissa states that these combined capabilities offer greater security than traditional platforms while preserving consistent user experiences across all applications for employees. The suite supports both Windows and mobile devices to accommodate the diversity of devices in workplaces today.

The Secure Access Suite has also been developed with future challenges in mind, particularly the increasing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools. By extending enterprise-grade controls to browser activity, the suite intends to help IT teams prevent the unintentional sharing of sensitive or regulated data through AI applications, thereby supporting compliance and trust as organisations adopt new technologies.

Jon Ramsey, Vice President and General Manager of Google Cloud Security at Google Cloud, commented on the importance of securing browser access in the current climate:

"With the evolving threat landscape, rise in emerging technologies and hybrid work environments, it's never been a more critical time to make secure web and SaaS access simple and seamless for employees. The browser is the most common access point for modern applications, making it a vital control point for security. By applying enterprise-grade controls directly into the browser, organizations can protect against the next wave of challenges, including securing the use of AI."

Availability

The Omnissa Secure Access Suite will be available in November, offering organisations new options for secure and compliant access to workplace applications as demand for flexibility and regulatory compliance grows across industries.
