Graphiant launches new service to secure data in motion

Fri, 13th Dec 2024

Graphiant has announced the launch of its Data Assurance service aimed at providing enhanced control and visibility for data in motion across business networks.

Khalid Raza, Founder and CEO of Graphiant, emphasised the importance of securing data as it moves, stating, "Data in motion is one of the biggest security issues for the enterprise. It is crucial that enterprises have the tools to guarantee data is fully protected while in motion, even while traveling outside the enterprise network."

The company identifies two primary drivers necessitating data assurance. First, the amount of data being generated at the network edges is increasing, particularly due to AI technologies. Additionally, businesses are increasingly interconnected with partner networks, and the workforce is becoming more distributed.

The second driver is the increased regulation concerning data protection. Over 100 countries have implemented data sovereignty laws like GDPR and CCPA, while industry-specific regulations such as HIPAA and PCI have become more stringent regarding data protection. Corporate boards are also requiring stricter measures to protect intellectual property and ensure privacy.

Graphiant's Data Assurance service is designed to assist businesses in managing compliance with these laws and regulations by allowing end-to-end control over data movements within the network. This includes granular control of how data travels, with the ability to dictate specific paths based on performance and security needs.

Enterprises can also benefit from precise monitoring and auditing capabilities thanks to Graphiant's control over its Network-as-a-Service (NaaS), ensuring that all data in motion is encrypted. Importantly, data is not decrypted until it reaches its destination.

The service includes adaptive routing to make dynamic route adjustments, necessary for optimising AI workloads and reducing latency, significantly improving upon conventional routing techniques.

Security integration within the service includes real-time threat analysis, moving from a passive defence mechanism to proactive threat blocking. This involves profiling application flow data to anticipate potential data breaches.

Furthermore, the service provisions for optimized resource allocation, enabling AI networks to prioritise bandwidth, computational power, and storage according to workload needs, enhancing overall network performance.

Doug Ullman, Director of Infrastructure at Valmont Industries, commented on the service, "Graphiant's Data Assurance not only strengthens data integrity and security but also paves the way for more efficient and adaptive networks. In a world with ever-growing demand for real-time, secure data interactions, it will provide us with the tools needed to thrive in this dynamic landscape."

Service providers stand to gain from Graphiant's new service as it facilitates a shift from hardware-dependent models to more flexible software-driven networks, maintaining performance and visibility. The service supports providers in capitalising on the data economy and enhances traffic visibility from branches to the service provider core to the cloud.

The Data Assurance service is available globally, underlining Graphiant's commitment to evolving network technology infrastructures.
