Guidewire's Mammoth release to boost insurer agility

Yesterday

Guidewire has introduced a new release named Mammoth, designed to assist insurers in adapting to market changes and supporting underwriting teams with predictive analytics.

The Mammoth release aims to benefit both personal and commercial lines of business by enhancing speed to market across the policy lifecycle and simplifying claims payment and recovery. According to Diego Devalle, Chief Product Development Officer at Guidewire, "The Mammoth release continues our momentum of transforming how insurers meet policyholder needs, enhancing insurer agility and improving the service experience for their customers. With new features that speed product development, streamline claims and policy management, and increase operational efficiency, Mammoth will help insurers be more nimble and responsive to changing market needs."

One key feature of Mammoth is the Autopilot Workflow Service for PolicyCenter, which is designed to automate and streamline essential policy management processes. This could potentially reduce the need for manual intervention and thus increase efficiency. Additionally, the new Autopilot Template for Personal Auto Glass intends to manage end-to-end glass claim processing through a pre-built workflow template available from the Guidewire Marketplace.

Mammoth also introduces Seasonal Coverage in Guidewire PolicyCenter, which allows for tailored insurance solutions aligning with the seasonal needs of policyholders. This feature is aimed at enabling policyholders to only pay for insurance coverage when they specifically require it.

Another feature of Mammoth is the incorporation of embedded analytics and business predictions, helping to improve policy and claims outcomes. This capability is now supported by model-ready datasets through the Data Studio integration for Predict.

In a bid to expedite product launches, Mammoth offers access to the latest rates directly from ISO with the InsuranceNow ISO Rating as a Service (RaaS) for Commercial Property.

Customer engagement and the launch of new digital experiences are expected to be enhanced with the introduction of two new Jutro templates, 'Workers' Compensation Quote & Buy' and 'Commercial Auto FNOL'. These will be available alongside improved functionalities for existing agent and policyholder experience templates.

The Mammoth release also includes Claims Payment and Recovery on Account, which integrates with the Guidewire BillingCenter premium collection process to further streamline claims payment and recovery processes.

Mammoth is scheduled to become generally available on April 2, 2025, though the availability of some features may vary by region.
