Jitterbit unveils AI-driven Harmony platform to simplify automation

Jitterbit has announced the launch of its new AI-infused Harmony platform, designed to simplify integration, automation, and app development for organisations of diverse sizes. This platform aims to assist businesses in navigating complex digital transformations by providing a unified solution that integrates various functions, including low-code application development, API management, and EDI.

Bill Conner, Jitterbit President and CEO, highlighted the challenges businesses face in today's digital environment. "In today's digital era, businesses are navigating hybrid IT environments with countless complex systems, applications and data sources. The data divide is a growing reality, and constraints on IT resources are hindering the advancement of automation initiatives," Conner stated. He added that "AI-powered automation is bridging this gap, enabling any organisation to solve complex transformation journeys. By empowering both IT teams and line-of-business groups, organisations can boost productivity, efficiency, and responsiveness, creating more opportunities for innovation."

The Harmony platform is characterised by several key features intended to make technology more accessible and effective. These include AI-infused low-code capabilities that enable even non-technical users to create and manage applications, effectively lowering the barrier to application development. Jitterbit claims its platform allows organisations to go live with new solutions in an average of 1.8 months, compared to the industry average of 3.34 months. Furthermore, it boasts a return on investment (ROI) period of approximately 10.5 months, six months faster than the average timeline.

Manoj Chaudhary, Chief Technology Officer at Jitterbit, discussed the implications of the new platform. "AI is fundamentally reshaping how we develop and deploy technology and, with Harmony, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible," he said. Chaudhary pointed out that Jitterbit has been a pioneer in AI innovation, utilising technologies like machine learning, large language models, and retrieval-augmented generation. "By harnessing AI across multiple models, we're not just increasing speed and productivity – we're enhancing the security, compliance, scalability, and reliability of integrations and applications," he added.

The Harmony platform consists of a suite of products, including iPaaS, API Manager, App Builder, and EDI, each engineered to support enterprise automation and orchestration. Jitterbit iPaaS offers secure, scalable cloud-native integration, designed to enhance operational efficiency through its low-code interface and AI chatbots. Jitterbit App Builder, formerly known as Vinyl, allows for the development of scalable, secure applications that integrate seamlessly into existing technology stacks. The API Manager component of Harmony helps streamline the creation and management of APIs, while the EDI product focuses on managing B2B transactions and connecting them with ERP systems.

The platform also introduces AI assistants currently in Beta, which include the App Builder AI Assistant, Connector AI Assistant, and the AskJB chatbot. These tools are designed to accelerate development speed and improve user experience. According to Jack Yao, Chief Information Officer at MEMIC, participating in the beta programme for the Harmony platform was particularly advantageous. "As we built our applications for claim reserving and producer commissions, our experience interacting with the App Builder AI assistant was a critical efficiency enabler. The AI prompts and order of operations were logical and intuitive, saving us weeks in creation versus our manual process," Yao noted.
