Orbus Software launches first Power Automate connector for OrbusInfinity

Fri, 3rd May 2024

Orbus Software has launched the maiden Microsoft Power Automate connector for their flagship product, OrbusInfinity. The enterprise architecture (EA) platform has now been enhanced with the ability to administer automated tasks and processes between applications and services via Microsoft Power Automate.

The synergy between EA and automation can supercharge transformations, from M&A activities to cloud migration and IT rationalisation. The integration opens up avenues for business users of OrbusInfinity to automate a wide spectrum of workflows and functions across various applications and services.

Microsoft Power Automate's functionality symbolises a bridge between applications. This 'low-code' and user-friendly service allows businesses to maximise AI technology via an AI builder that forecasts outcomes and augments business performance.

The novel feature empowers OrbusInfinity users to trigger automated workflows within Microsoft's solution, thereby reducing repetitive tasks. These include synchronising files, collating data, and reactive notifications. Built upon the low-code principle, these tools allow enterprise architects to pull from a library of pre-built connectors, driving quick setup of automated workflows across entire departments. As a result, business activities and services run more effectively, bypassing redundant tasks, minimising expenses, improving decision-making quality and allowing architects to concentrate on value-creating agendas.

CEO of Orbus Software, Gareth Burton, comments on the update, stating, "Launching the first cloud-native EA platform connector in Microsoft Power Automate is evidence of our commitment to delivering valuable, user-centric platform enhancements that support evolving customer needs. By increasing automation within the OrbusInfinity platform, we're supporting their drive to work smarter by enhancing the efficiency of processes across their entire business application network."

The integration further cements the strong ties between Orbus Software and the technology behemoth, Microsoft. Burgeoning from the deep integration with Microsoft Office 365, this marked a notable progression in Orbus's journey, having recently participated in a Microsoft Innovation Lab exercise charting generative AI applications in Application Portfolio Management.

The OrbusInfinity connector for Microsoft Power Automate comes free for existing Power Automate users within the OrbusInfinity fold. For Power Automate newcomers, a usage-based bespoke pricing structure is applicable, which depends on the types of flows users create.
