SentinelOne & Google Cloud strengthen cyber defence collaboration
SentinelOne and Google Cloud are set to deepen their collaboration to offer more robust enterprise cyber defence.
This enhanced partnership aims to provide comprehensive security insights by sharing telemetry data, making it possible for organisations to bolster their defences against the latest cyber threats.
SentinelOne will utilise this shared data with Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro and Flash models to further develop the autonomous capabilities of its Purple AI and Singularity platform.
According to Sandra Joyce, Vice President at Google Threat Intelligence, the collaboration is designed to enable adaptability and intelligence-led solutions for customers. "To help our customers reduce the business impact of cyber threats and keep today's modern IT environments safe, Google Cloud partners with fellow market leaders to deliver highly adaptable and intelligence-led solutions," said Joyce. "SentinelOne brings an advanced cybersecurity platform for continued delivery and integrations into Google threat intelligence and related services. By expanding our strategic alliance, we can deliver dynamic telemetry and generative AI capabilities that drive stronger security outcomes."
This enhanced partnership builds on the existing alliance between the two companies. SentinelOne is already a preferred endpoint vendor for Mandiant's Incident Response and Managed Defence services. The goal of the enhanced collaboration is to integrate SentinelOne's AI-driven autonomous endpoint protection with Google Cloud's vast threat intelligence resources, thus enabling customers to improve their security posture.
Ric Smith, Chief Technology and Product Officer at SentinelOne, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership. "Google Cloud is a leader in online security, setting the benchmark for delivering highly secure online services at an unprecedented scale," Smith stated. "Google Cloud and SentinelOne share a security-first mindset, and in deepening our collaboration, we're fusing the best security and threat intelligence services with the most advanced AI-based protection platform to deliver infinite-scale cybersecurity at machine speed. This brings Google Cloud's intelligence to SentinelOne customers and SentinelOne's best-of-breed endpoint protection to Mandiant's managed security services."
The partnership also aims to educate the broader community on cybersecurity best practices. Both companies are slated to participate in major industry events such as the Black Hat conference and the mWISE Conference, followed by SentinelOne's own OneCon event later in the year. These gatherings offer a platform for further discussions on the innovations and integrations stemming from the SentinelOne-Google Cloud collaboration.
The integration of SentinelOne's autonomous security technology with Google Cloud's threat intelligence marks a significant development in enterprise cybersecurity efforts. By leveraging dynamic telemetry and generative AI capabilities, the duo aims to deliver security solutions that are both adaptive and intelligence-driven. This aligns with the broader objective of both companies to offer scalable, robust cybersecurity services that can keep pace with rapidly evolving threats.
As cyber threats become more sophisticated, the integration of advanced AI-driven tools and extensive threat intelligence becomes crucial. The SentinelOne and Google Cloud partnership appears well-positioned to meet these challenges, providing organisations with the tools and insights necessary to navigate an increasingly complex cybersecurity landscape.
