SentinelOne launches initiative to secure networks for insurers

Mon, 29th Jul 2024

SentinelOne has launched the SentinelOne Risk Assurance Initiative, designed to help insurers secure their clients' networks with advanced AI security platforms.

This programme allows insurers to offer the SentinelOne Singularity Platform to clients at preferred rates to prevent attacks, reduce financial loss, and lower insurance premiums.

The initiative has garnered support from major insurance carriers and providers globally, including AXA XL, Coalition, Travelers, At-Bay, and CFC. These companies are implementing the Singularity Platform to encourage deployment and prevent ransomware across multiple digital surfaces.

John Roberts, General Manager, Security at Coalition, commented on the collaboration: "When a client is managed with SentinelOne, we know they have strong protection against sophisticated cyber attacks. Coalition can generally offer them more favourable insurance pricing based on their use of managed detection and response technology than if they did not have those security measures in place."

"We not only leverage SentinelOne in our Coalition Managed Detection and Response offering as a trusted solution for our clients but also lean on SentinelOne for Coalition Incident Response to support more rapid containment and remediation for clients that have experienced a breach," Roberts said.

The Singularity Platform from SentinelOne provides what the company claims to be the industry's best real-world protection and risk assurance. It leads the MITRE Engenuity ATT&CK Evaluations: Enterprise, boasting 100% detection and a #1 real-world protection ranking.

SentinelOne has been recognised as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms for three consecutive years. Customers have also named SentinelOne the 2024 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer for Endpoint Protection Platforms, with a 95% recommendation rate on Gartner Peer Insights.

Roger Francis, CEO of CFC Response, stressed the platform's importance for SMB clients: "SentinelOne is a trusted business partner that shares CFC's mission to make insureds safer. With the SentinelOne Singularity Platform, our SMB clients are more comprehensively protected and less likely to experience an incident that will cause significant loss, or worse, shut down their business."

Additionally, Thom Dekens, Chief Business Officer and GM of At-Bay Security, expressed support for the platform: "As the leading InsurSec provider, At-Bay is committed to helping businesses thrive in the digital world, whatever comes their way. The Singularity Platform can help customers reduce their chances of getting breached and improve their overall cybersecurity posture."

The Insurance Posture Report, a part of the SentinelOne Singularity Platform, offers a comprehensive overview of key telemetry signals mapped to the CIS18 standard. This report can be shared with insurance carriers to validate acceptable risk profiles quickly. Mark Camillo, CEO of CyberAcuView, highlighted its benefits: "It’s great to see a cybersecurity market leader like SentinelOne offer solutions that support the cyber insurance industry. The Insurance Posture Report, coupled with the Singularity Warranty, can enhance the underwriting process and provide additional confidence to clients, especially in the SMB sector."

Managed Service Solution Providers (MSSPs) also use SentinelOne to support their insurance partners and clients. Dara Gibson, Senior Cyber Insurance Manager at Optiv, noted the company's commitment: "Optiv is dedicated to the cyber insurance market and the unique challenges it presents. With SentinelOne as part of our Incident Response and Managed Services portfolio, we can offer our insurance partners proactive resolution combined with long-term monitoring."

SentinelOne’s Singularity Platform is backed by a USD $1 million Breach Response Warranty, which provides additional coverage and financial relief at no extra charge in the event of a worst-case scenario.

Barnaby Page, Vice President, Incident Response and Cyber Risk at SentinelOne, expressed gratitude towards insurance practitioners: "SentinelOne is honoured to have the confidence and trust of so many thoughtful insurance practitioners. Our technology provides signals that enable insurers to quickly and efficiently assess risk for renewals or new policies, and we are thrilled to be joining forces with them to prevent losses and business interruption."
