AvePoint expands Azure protection with IAMCP partnership & new features
AvePoint has announced expanded channel strategy measures, incorporating new Azure data protection features, a global partnership with the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP), and enhanced integrations with cloud marketplaces.
According to Canalys, global managed services revenue is projected to grow by 13% year-on-year, reaching $595 million, largely due to increasing challenges in AI security. This presents potential for partners to develop new services using AvePoint Elements, a component of the AvePoint Confidence Platform.
Azure data protection
The new updates enable service providers to improve security for customers using Azure by automating misconfiguration detection, monitoring environments for irregularities, and providing recommendations to address deviations. Additional capabilities include backing up virtual machines, securing storage, and optimising infrastructure performance within AvePoint Elements.
Coby Liang, Head of EMEA at AvePoint, commented, "Data protection is the cornerstone of trust for our partners and their customers, especially as digital threats and new technologies like AI continue to reshape the landscape. At AvePoint, we continue to develop AvePoint Elements to address these evolving challenges, making it easier for service providers to proactively secure environments, simplify operations, and deliver superior value, while also unlocking new, recurring revenue streams as demand for comprehensive managed services accelerates."
These updates follow reported growth in Azure usage, with Microsoft reporting a 39% year-on-year increase in Azure revenue for 2025, attributed in part to heightened investment in AI-related infrastructure.
IAMCP partnership
AvePoint has also initiated a partnership with IAMCP, which represents over 5,000 individuals from around 2,000 organisations in more than 40 countries. This arrangement grants IAMCP members access to AvePoint Elements and associated partner programme offerings. The partnership aims to support solutions that address ongoing changes in technology, IT talent shortages, and shifts within Microsoft's partner approaches.
Eddie Bader, IAMCP International President, said, "This strategic partnership is a win-win for both organizations. IAMCP members benefit from access to AvePoint's industry-leading technology and partner program, while AvePoint accelerates partner recruitment and expands its global channel presence. By joining forces, we are uniquely positioned to empower partners and their customers to lead in AI driven digital transformation. This alliance is truly a catalyst for growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation for our entire ecosystem."
Marketplace integrations
Additional enhancements to AvePoint Elements include streamlined procurement, licence management, and billing. Partners can now access the platform via leading marketplaces, such as ALSO, Ingram Xvantage, TD Synnex StreamOne Ion, Arrow Arrowsphere, and Microsoft CSP. These integrations are aimed at reducing complexity and supporting partner scalability.
Scott Sacket, SVP of Global Partner Strategy at AvePoint, said, "AvePoint is redefining marketplace enablement. By removing operational barriers and providing seamless access through the world's leading cloud marketplaces, we are empowering service providers to drive growth with unmatched agility and efficiency."
The company states that its partner network consists of approximately 5,000 managed service providers, resellers, and systems integrators, with availability in more than 100 cloud marketplaces globally. AvePoint's Confidence Platform supports data management across Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, and other collaboration environments, serving over 25,000 customers.
