Corpay has expanded the range of AI agents in its Corpay Complete platform, aiming to give businesses more control over spending.

The new tools include an Embedded Insights Agent, an AI Voice Assistant Agent and an Accounting Coding Agent. They join products introduced earlier this year, including an AI Virtual Assistant Agent launched in April and Agent Card, introduced in July to let trusted AI agents create and use virtual cards within existing payment controls.

Each agent is designed for a specific task across corporate, fleet and vendor payments rather than serving as a single general-purpose assistant. They operate within Corpay Complete, the company's platform that brings together spend data, workflows, and payments.

The Embedded Insights Agent is intended to help administrators analyse spending and automatically flag anomalies without requiring a report. The AI Voice Assistant Agent lets users create and complete expenses by voice, and answer questions about cards, transactions and account status in plain language.

The Accounting Coding Agent is aimed at card administrators and is designed to code transactions automatically to the correct general ledger account, tax code and cost centre. The expanded group of agents is being rolled out to eligible Corpay Complete customers this month.

The launch reflects a broader move by finance software providers to add AI-based tools to payment and expense systems, especially for transaction review, employee expense handling and back-office accounting tasks. Vendors have focused on offering automation within existing controls as finance teams remain cautious about security, audit trails and accuracy.

Corpay says the agents run with the same controls and audit visibility finance teams already use on its platform. The company is positioning them to address concerns that AI tools need tighter oversight when handling payments and accounting processes.

Danny Martucci, President & GM of Commercial Card at Corpay, outlined the company's approach to the rollout.

"We didn't set out to build one AI agent that claims to do everything well. Businesses are looking for agents they can trust to do the work accurately and securely. There's no new system to learn. It's a team of agents that works the way you already do, with added efficiency to help your business save more time and money," Martucci said.

Corpay is listed in the S&P 500 and operates across three main business lines: spend management, cross-border payments and vehicle-related payment products. These cover areas such as corporate and virtual cards, foreign exchange, and vehicle spending on fuel, tolls and parking.

The latest AI expansion is centred on Corpay's spend management operations, where competition has intensified as payments groups and software providers try to embed more automation into routine finance work. By targeting narrow functions such as anomaly detection, voice-based expense entry and coding transactions to accounting fields, Corpay is placing its AI products in day-to-day operational workflows rather than limiting them to reporting or user support.

It also builds on the company's earlier releases this year, which first focused on spend visibility and user queries, then on controlled virtual card use by AI agents. The new additions move further into execution and accounting tasks, indicating a wider role for AI inside the platform.

More agents are planned.
