Grandstream unveils the rugged WP836 Wi-Fi 6 IP phone

Grandstream has announced the release of its newest ruggedised Wi-Fi 6 cordless IP phone, the WP836, designed for diverse enterprise and vertical market applications.

The WP836 is a compact, user-friendly device with integrated dual-band Wi-Fi 6, ensuring a strong network connection while offering advanced roaming support, push-to-talk functionality, HD voice, AI-based noise reduction, and Bluetooth capability. This model also boasts an IP-67 rating for waterproof and dustproof protection, antimicrobial casing, and is resilient to drops from up to 2.5 metres.

"The WP836 is equipped with integrated dual band Wi-Fi 6, an advanced antenna design, roaming support, four-way voice conferencing, AI-based noise reduction, and supports the Opus HD voice codec," stated a Grandstream representative.

This model is engineered with a 3000mAh rechargeable battery, which provides up to 10 hours of talk time and 240 hours of standby time, promoting productivity in various working environments. Designed to be sleek and easy to handle, it also features several practical and customisable options to enhance mobility and flexibility in communication solutions.

Significant features of the WP836 include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with a sophisticated antenna layout and advanced roaming assistance, support for three SIP accounts and three lines, and four-way voice conferencing capability. It also incorporates HD voice and a dual microphone design with Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), Noise Shield Technology, and AI Technology.

"The WP836 can withstand any environment thanks to its IP67-rated weatherproof design which provides exceptional waterproof and dustproof performance," a representative reaffirmed.

Additionally, the WP836 offers integrated Bluetooth for headset connectivity, a Type C USB port with rapid charging capability, and various alarm functions that include push-button, man-down, no-movement, running, and ambient sound alerts.

The WP836's antibacterial casing is not only waterproof and dustproof but resistant to cleaning chemicals, enhancing its suitability for environments where hygiene is a priority, such as healthcare settings.
