Hexaware & CareInsight to scale AI across healthcare
Hexaware has formed a strategic partnership with CareInsight to expand the use of artificial intelligence tools across healthcare operations and clinical workflows.
The agreement combines Hexaware's healthcare IT services and transformation capabilities with CareInsight's AI-native platforms. The partnership focuses on deploying AI in day-to-day settings across payers and providers, with an emphasis on operational outcomes and measurable improvements in decision-making and care delivery.
Healthcare organisations have increased their use of data and AI, but many deployments remain limited in scope. Fragmented data estates and legacy systems often hinder integration across departments. Regulatory requirements and shifting utilisation patterns add complexity for both insurers and care delivery organisations.
The collaboration is positioned as a response to these constraints. It covers data flows, operational decision-making and use cases spanning the care continuum, according to the announcement.
Platforms and products
CareInsight's platforms include careassistant.ai, carewallet.ai, voice assist and health3d.ai. Under the partnership, these products will be embedded within Hexaware's AI-focused healthcare offerings.
Intended application areas include care management, patient engagement, administrative automation and real-time analytics.
Care management tools typically support triage, pathway guidance and coordination across clinicians and support teams. Patient engagement functions often include communications, reminders and information sharing. Administrative automation can cover routine work around clinical care, such as documentation and back-office processes. Real-time analytics can provide operational visibility into activity levels and capacity constraints.
A key focus is scale. Many healthcare organisations run AI as stand-alone pilots; the partnership aims to move deployments into broader administrative and clinical workflows.
Deployment at scale
The approach aims to shift AI from isolated use cases to wider operational rollout. That includes core administrative processes and clinical workflow elements, with AI tools introduced alongside existing systems.
The partnership also addresses the technology foundation and governance required for health data, citing a "regulatory-ready architecture" and secure data integration. Healthcare organisations face different compliance regimes across markets and must manage consent, access controls and auditability when integrating AI into operational systems.
The announcement frames the partnership around "outcome-based transformation", linking technology deployments to operational measures such as efficiency and coordination, as well as clinical and financial indicators tracked by large healthcare organisations, including quality measures and performance against service targets.
"Our partnership with CareInsight reflects Hexaware's commitment to move beyond technology modernization toward outcome-driven transformation. Together, we will help payers and providers operationalize AI at scale, accelerate value-based equitable care, and deliver measurable, real-world impact for our customers," said Shantanu Baruah, President & Global Head - Healthcare, Life Sciences & Insurance, Hexaware.
CareInsight described the partnership as a step toward placing its software in larger operational environments. Many AI tools in healthcare struggle to move from pilot programmes into routine production settings, particularly when they must connect with multiple data sources and fit established clinical and administrative practices.
"For CareInsight, this partnership is a key step in bringing our AI-native platform and intelligent agents into complex, real-world healthcare environments," said Raj Kadam, CEO of CareInsight. "By combining our AI-native platform and intelligent agents with Hexaware's proven track record in enterprise implementation and deep healthcare domain expertise, we can help organizations move from AI pilots to production-scale deployment faster than ever before."
Hexaware has an established position in IT services, with a healthcare practice serving both payers and providers. CareInsight positions itself as an AI-native healthcare technology firm, with products spanning care management and related functions. The partnership outlines a joint route to deliver integrated deployments that connect AI tools with the data systems healthcare organisations already use.
The work will focus on embedding AI across the care continuum, extending deployments into administrative functions and clinical workflows in production environments.
