Indosat has entered a three-year partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation to enhance digital and entrepreneurial skills among one million Indonesians and foster over 100,000 future entrepreneurs.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Indonesia-India CEO Forum during Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's state visit to India. This collaboration between the Wadhwani Foundation and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison is dedicated to advancing Indonesia's Vision 2045 by equipping its workforce with the necessary skills for the future.

The partnership, valued at IDR 3.5 trillion (INR ~18,550 crore), aims to launch AI-powered training programmes to boost Indonesia's digital economy. The initiative aligns with the nation's goal of becoming a developed country by 2045.

Wadhwani Foundation plans to implement its 'Job Ready' and 'Ignite' programmes. The 'Job Ready' programme aims to improve employability by imparting soft skills training tailored to the modern job market, while the 'Ignite' programme is designed to nurture entrepreneurial mindsets among participants.

Ajay Kela, President and CEO of Wadhwani Foundation, emphasised the importance of this partnership: "This collaboration underscores our commitment to driving growth in emerging economies and creating quality jobs for youth. With its vibrant and growing young population, Indonesia is a key focus for us."

"Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, sharing our vision for empowering youth, is the ideal partner to amplify our impact. Their local expertise and extensive network perfectly complement Wadhwani Foundation's AI-powered platforms, which equip entrepreneurs and jobseekers with the skills needed to excel in the global economy."

Vikram Sinha, President, Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, reflected on the collaboration's potential impact: "As the world undergoes a digital transformation, our priority is to prepare the next generation of leaders with the skills and resources they need to thrive. This partnership with the Wadhwani Foundation brings together their global expertise in AI-enabled skilling and Indosat's unparalleled reach and local knowledge.

Together, we are paving the way for an interconnected world where every individual can access equal opportunities to succeed. This collaboration aligns with Indosat's larger purpose of empowering Indonesia."

This cooperation's focus extends beyond skill development. It aims to enhance Indonesia's workforce capabilities, contribute to sustainable economic growth, and strengthen ties between Indonesia and India. This initiative seeks to create a prosperous future for Indonesian youth and entrepreneurs by providing access to AI-driven resources and skilling platforms.
