InterSystems named Challenger in cloud database rankings
Thu, 28th Dec 2023

InterSystems, a trailblazer in the provision of enterprise software, has been honoured with the designation of Challenger status in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems. This is the third instance InterSystems has obtained such recognition.

The InterSystems IRIS data platform remains a pivotal force that converts disparate data into a comprehensive, single view. The platform is designed to optimise customer outcomes by catering to critical data requirements within central sectors including, but not limited to, healthcare, financial services, and supply chain.

InterSystems' methodology is testament to its 'smart data fabric' approach. The company ensures the delivery of high-performance multi-model and multi-workload database management, providing smart data services and analytics capabilities. Additionally, the platform guarantees interoperability, further strengthening the performance and efficiency of its system.

InterSystems' notable acknowledgement arose from the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems (DBMS). Focusing on the vendor's completeness of vision and execution ability, Gartner’s recognition marks a successive third-time-affirmation of InterSystems' prowess within this sector.

Within the extensive vendor landscape of cloud database management systems, fully 19 other vendors were evaluated. InterSystems’ positioning as a Challenger within the Magic Quadrant is indicative of their capacity to challenge the industry standard and provide innovative, unique solutions to the market.

“The Challenger status substantiates our dedication to innovation and focus on delivering value to our customers," declared Scott Gnau, Head of Data Platforms at InterSystems. Gnau further hallmarked InterSystems' participation as the single Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, proof of "our success pushing the limits of what's feasible in cloud database management and assisting organisations in integrating, processing, and analysing their data in the cloud."
