Kellton has been selected by an automotive finance company to build an enterprise loan integration platform, creating a single integration layer across the lender's systems.

The platform is designed to connect lending, customer, credit, servicing, verification and financial data systems. It will also serve as a reusable framework, allowing the lender to add new providers, product lines and channels without building separate connections each time.

Kellton did not name the client. The project will establish a governed integration foundation for the lender's broader lending ecosystem, bringing together internal systems and external data providers within a single structure.

That structure is intended to support applicant verification, credit assessment, eligibility decisioning and customer record synchronisation. It is also expected to reduce the complexity of point-to-point links between systems, which many lenders still rely on.

Industry shift

The engagement comes as automotive finance groups look to connect origination, credit assessment, customer management and servicing systems more closely with third-party data sources. As lending becomes more digital, firms are under pressure to improve data consistency and oversight while keeping systems flexible enough to support new products and distribution routes.

Traditional approaches often create duplicate connections and fragmented data flows, raising operational and governance issues. Reusable integration platforms have become more prominent as lenders seek more consistent data handling across the lending lifecycle.

For lenders, the appeal lies in reducing operational friction while improving security, auditability and transaction integrity in regulated environments. A unified integration layer can also help standardise how data moves between internal functions and external partners.

Kellton said the platform will lay the groundwork for automation and AI-led decisioning by creating a more trusted flow of data across the lending chain. Across financial services, firms have increasingly focused on data quality and governance as prerequisites for more automated underwriting and analytics tools.

Kellton focus

The project adds to Kellton's work in financial services technology, particularly in enterprise integration and platform engineering. The company describes itself as an AI-led digital transformation and technology consulting business with more than 2,000 professionals across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Its work spans cloud, data, AI, enterprise platforms and digital product engineering. In this case, the assignment centres on building the underlying integration framework rather than launching a customer-facing lending product.

Karanjit Singh outlined Kellton's view of the market backdrop in comments on the deal.

"As financial services move from digitisation towards more connected and intelligent ecosystems, the ability to integrate systems, data and partners seamlessly is becoming increasingly critical. This engagement reflects the kind of complex integration challenges we are well equipped to address, bringing together our platform engineering and financial services expertise to build a scalable, governed foundation that can evolve with the business. Getting this foundation right is also critical to creating the trusted flow of data needed to advance automation, analytics and AI-led decisioning over time," said Karanjit Singh, Chief Executive Officer APAC, Kellton.

The work points to a broader trend in specialist lending and vehicle finance, where technology investment is increasingly focused on the connections between systems rather than stand-alone applications. As more decisions rely on multiple internal and external data sources, integration architecture is becoming a central issue for lenders seeking tighter control over risk, customer records and operational processes.
