LOGIC upgrades ZX Series interactive displays to Android 16

LOGIC has upgraded its ZX Series interactive flat-panel displays to Android 16, updating a product line used in classrooms, training centres and meeting spaces.

The ZX Series previously ran on Android 14 and carries Google EDLA certification. LOGIC said the new operating system improves system responsiveness, multitasking, security and privacy.

The product is part of the visual solutions business of Online Instruments. The ZX Series is marketed for education and workplace collaboration, allowing users to annotate content, share screens, and manage teaching or meeting material from the panel.

In terms of hardware, the displays use an octa-core processor with four A72 cores and four A53 cores, a Mali-G52 graphics processor with three enabled cores, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The units also support TF card expansion.

Touch functions remain central to the range. The displays support 40-point touch and 20-point writing, allowing several users to interact with the screen at the same time in classrooms, training sessions and group meetings.

LOGIC has also linked the software update to a wider set of built-in artificial intelligence tools under the NeoAI name. These include an "Ask AI" feature for answers during sessions; a tool that explains circled content in real time; note mapping; quiz generation; image creation from sketches; and video support with live subtitles for multilingual material.

Another element of the ZX Series is the Note Pro application, positioned as a digital whiteboard and lesson or presentation workspace. It includes handwriting-to-text conversion, access to NCERT eBooks, GeoGebra, chemistry models, solar system simulations, a quiz builder, multilingual support, and options to save, share, import and export files, including PPT, PDF and flipcharts.

Display features

On the visual side, the panels offer 4K UHD resolution of 3840×2160, 10-bit colour depth, 72% NTSC coverage, brightness of 450 nits, and a 178-degree viewing angle. Connectivity options include HDMI, USB 3.0, USB-C, DisplayPort, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and TF card support.

The displays also support nine-way wireless screen sharing and split-screen view. These features are aimed at settings where several participants need to present material at once or compare content on the same screen.

Remote administration is handled through a web-based Device Management System. LOGIC said information technology teams can use the dashboard to adjust volume and brightness, install applications, and send announcements across displays, with role-based access controls.

The Android 16 update comes as display makers increasingly seek to combine operating system upgrades with integrated software services, particularly for education and corporate users. In those markets, buyers often look for long-term device management, compatibility with common file formats, and support for hybrid or multilingual teaching and meeting environments.

For LOGIC, the ZX Series is part of a broader display portfolio that includes digital signage, interactive flat panels and active LED displays. The company has positioned itself in India's visual communications market through products aimed at schools, training facilities and business users.
