LogicMonitor acquires Catchpoint to boost AI-led IT monitoring

LogicMonitor has acquired Catchpoint, an Internet Performance and Digital Experience Monitoring provider. The move brings together LogicMonitor's infrastructure and artificial intelligence capabilities with Catchpoint's Internet-level performance data.

Acquisition details

The integration of Catchpoint into LogicMonitor's platform is set to provide enhanced visibility and predictive analytics across cloud, code, and Internet layers for enterprise IT operations.

Customers will be able to access network, synthetic, and real-user monitoring data through a unified console. This is expected to streamline operational workflows and reduce the number of separate tools in use.

Predictive IT focus

The combined offering will leverage Catchpoint's datasets and LogicMonitor's Edwin AI engine. Artificial intelligence will play a role in predicting incidents, explaining root causes, and automating fixes. According to the companies, this approach aims to address the ongoing challenge of reactive incident management within IT environments.
