Netskope launches DataSec Command Centre for data security

Netskope has launched Netskope One DataSec Command Centre, designed to unify data security management across multiple environments.
Built around a central control plane, the product gives security teams a single view of sensitive data across AI services, cloud platforms, networks, on-premises systems, endpoints and email. It is intended to help users discover, track and protect data as it moves between those environments.
The launch comes as many organisations continue to manage sprawling security estates. Netskope's research found that 58% of organisations use 11 or more data security tools, while only 7% describe their stack as fully unified.
That fragmentation appears to be affecting incident response. The same research found that 68% of security teams take days or longer to reconstruct where sensitive data went after an incident, while 8% can rarely reconstruct that path at all.
AI adoption has added another layer of pressure. Netskope found that 98% of organisations now use AI, yet only 8% apply data protection policies consistently in AI environments, and only 7% are confident that sensitive data is not moving into AI services without control.
Single view
Netskope One DataSec Command Centre sits within the broader Netskope One platform and serves as the centre of the company's data security offering. It pulls signals from Netskope services and maps relationships between users, devices, data stores and AI assets to highlight risks and guide remediation.
The product includes a dashboard for discovery and risk prioritisation, data lineage tools to trace how information moves across connected systems, and automated policy recommendations. It also works alongside the company's DLP AISecOps Agent to support triage, investigation and incident resolution.
One focus is alert volume. Netskope found that 56% of organisations investigate only half or fewer of the alerts they generate because they lack the capacity to handle them.
Coverage areas
The new command centre is intended to cover several categories of data and infrastructure, including internet traffic, email, endpoint data in motion, cloud databases and object stores on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, SaaS applications such as Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint and Google Drive, AI services including ChatGPT and Anthropic Claude, and structured data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
The product reflects a wider push by security suppliers to present a more unified approach to data governance as customers face growing complexity across cloud, SaaS and AI systems. In many organisations, data protection tools have been added over time in separate layers, making it harder to establish a consistent policy or reconstruct the path of sensitive information.
For security teams, lineage has become a key issue because data now moves quickly between employees, applications, storage services and AI models. A product that shows where a file originated, where it travelled and what controls apply to it addresses a long-standing gap in many enterprises' data security operations.
Suppliers are also under commercial pressure to simplify security operations as customers look for fewer consoles and less manual investigation. Netskope's figures suggest many organisations still struggle to move from discovery to remediation without switching between multiple tools.
Sanjay Beri, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Netskope, outlined the company's view of the problem in a statement accompanying the launch.

Netskope One DataSec Command Centre digests all of that data and those signals, correlates and normalises them, analyses them, and surfaces human-understandable insights giving security teams the control plane they have been missing: a single place to see what is exposed, understand how it got there, and act on it to prevent and mitigate risks," said Beri.
