RedCloud unveils three AI agents for FMCG supply chains
Thu, 30th Apr 2026 (Today)
RedCloud has unveiled three artificial intelligence agents for commercial decision-making in fast-moving consumer goods supply chains. The tools are being developed for distributors and brand managers across its markets.
The products are the RedAI Inventory Agent, the RedAI Sales Agent and the RedAI Market Planning Agent. They are designed to help users make routine decisions on stock, pricing, sales targeting and local market performance using information drawn from trade activity on RedCloud's platform.
RedCloud's system has processed USD $6.9 billion in FMCG transactions across markets including Nigeria, Brazil, South Africa and Saudi Arabia. That dataset is being used to train the new agents, which are due to be introduced in the second half of 2026.
Each tool targets a different part of the supply chain. The inventory agent is intended for distributors managing stock levels, offering recommendations on when to reorder and how much to buy. The sales agent is designed to help distribution teams identify likely buyers, set pricing and propose product bundles. The market planning agent is aimed at FMCG brand managers seeking a more detailed local view of product performance, competitive activity and growth opportunities.
All three products are in development and will operate through RAID, short for Realtime AI for Distribution. They are also being built to work in local languages across RedCloud's active markets and to connect with local payment providers.
Data focus
The launch reflects a broader push by technology companies to apply artificial intelligence to operational decisions in sectors that still rely heavily on fragmented data and manual judgement. In consumer goods distribution, those decisions include what to stock, when to replenish inventory, how to price products and where to direct sales efforts.
RedCloud argues that these choices are often made without timely visibility into supply and demand. It cited an estimate that lost inventory opportunity across the global FMCG industry amounts to about USD $2 trillion a year, in a market it valued at USD $14.6 trillion.
For RedCloud, the announcement also signals an effort to turn its existing transaction flows into software products embedded in daily workflows. Rather than offering broad AI tools, it is focusing on narrower applications tied to repeat commercial tasks carried out by distributors and consumer goods companies.
The inventory product is intended to monitor stock levels against predicted demand and suggest reorder timing and quantities. RedCloud said this approach is meant to reduce both shortages and excess inventory while improving working capital efficiency.
The sales tool is positioned as a way to reduce time spent on weak prospects by identifying buyers with a higher likelihood of purchase. It also recommends prices and combinations of products likely to sell together.
The market planning tool is aimed at branded goods manufacturers and category managers. It is intended to provide visibility at category and stock-keeping unit level, allowing users to track local performance and spot shifts in channel activity or rival moves.
Executive comments
Justin Floyd, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of RedCloud, described the software as part of a broader effort to bring more structured intelligence into trade operations.
"Global trade has never had intelligence. RAID changes that. Specialist AI Agents powered by the RAID will transform FMCG and supply chain professionals into decision-making gurus - delivering performance and efficiency across the supply chain. This is intelligent infrastructure unlocking growth and prosperity," Floyd said.
Soumaya Hamzaoui, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of RedCloud, said the company sees the tools as support for staff making important commercial choices, with human oversight remaining in place for larger decisions.
"For years, FMCG and supply chain professionals have had to make critical decisions based on incomplete data. That era is over. Our specialized AI agents, powered by the RAID Engine, will focus on specialist workflows in support of our customer's employees, in time working autonomously with human-in-the-loop oversight for larger decisions. This is how intelligent infrastructure is set to reshape the way software is presented to enable humans to inform their judgement and perform in their roles," Hamzaoui said.
The rollout is expected to be phased across RedCloud's operating countries, with localisation for language and payment integration through local providers.
