SolarWinds appoints Brian Goldfarb as new Chief Marketing Officer

SolarWinds, a major provider of secure observability and IT management software, has today announced the appointment of Brian Goldfarb as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Goldfarb brings over two decades of experience in top-tier technology firms to the role. His recruitment signifies the ongoing growth and transformation phase SolarWinds is currently undergoing.

Goldfarb will be tasked with leading all aspects of global marketing efforts for the tech firm. His remit will cover the company's world-class observability, database, and service management solutions. This new role places Goldfarb as a central member of SolarWinds' executive team.

Prior to joining SolarWinds, Goldfarb had an extensive career in marketing leadership roles at several of the world's largest and most prestigious technology companies. He was previously the CMO of cybersecurity firm Tenable, where he successfully accountable for guiding the marketing team amid rapid-industry changes and helped increase the company's revenue by almost half during his tenure.

Goldfarb brings his vast experience to SolarWinds at a time when the company is undergoing significant growth and transformation. The company is evolving its business, enhancing its go-to-market strategy and expanding its product portfolio. Its AI-powered observability, service, and database management offerings continue to prove invaluable to customers looking to accelerate their digital transformations, improve productivity and reduce costs in today's complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments. A recent shift to a subscription-first business model has helped SolarWinds achieve four consecutive quarters of revenue growth year-over-year.

Goldfarb's resume includes impressive directorial roles, including the marketing team responsible for launching Google's multi-billion-dollar cloud service and a significant transformation of digital marketing to enhance data-driven demand generation as CMO of Splunk. His tenure as senior VP of platform marketing at Salesforce saw him oversee an annual revenue growth of over $1 billion. Prior to these appointments, he served in product marketing and product management roles at Microsoft, managing developer tools, platforms, IT infrastructure systems, digital media, and cloud computing.
