Melbourne is one of ten cities globally selected to receive a US $10,000 grant as part of a USD $100,000 charitable initiative by the Rimini Street Foundation.
The grants are designed to support government-certified charities and will be awarded throughout 2025 at various in-person gatherings. Rimini Street, a company known for its third-party support for Oracle, SAP, and VMware software, commemorates the ten-year anniversary of its foundation with this initiative. Charity applications are welcomed from cities where Rimini Street has a significant presence, including Melbourne, Australia.
Janet Ravin, Founder and Committee Chair of the Rimini Street Foundation, emphasised the importance of the foundation to the company's ethos. "The Rimini Street Foundation is a cornerstone of who we are as a company, reflecting our commitment to create equal opportunity for all," Ravin stated. "Throughout the years, we've connected with so many wonderful organisations and new community friends, sharing hearts and building memories together in our combined efforts toward societal progress."
The RMNI LOVE Grant Program initially started in Las Vegas in 2022, subsequently expanding to Tokyo in 2023 and London in 2024. The initiative forms part of Rimini Street's broader "Follow-the-Sun" support model, which aims to provide dedicated engineering support to client issues across multiple time zones.
Rimini Street Foundation's core committee member, Emily Garczynski, highlighted the challenge of selecting recipient charities due to the high calibre of applicants. "Selecting just ten cities out of the many is difficult enough, even tougher when we have to choose from the vast number of organisations that apply for the grants each year. Each charity is so deserving, and their passion for good makes it a real challenge for our Global Steering Committee when reviewing RMNI LOVE Grant submissions," Garczynski said.
The nominations for the grants will open on 10 February 2025 and will close on 9 March 2025. Further guidelines and application procedures are available on the RMNI LOVE website, which also features sections for charities to narrate their stories and community impacts.
Ravin expressed the significance of the grant program's reach and the inspiring stories that emerge from it. "One of the best parts of the RMNI LOVE Grant Program is learning about the selfless, determined superheroes who are making a difference each and every day," Ravin remarked. "We see you, we hear you and we appreciate you. Thank you from the depths of our RMNI hearts!"
To date, the Rimini Street Foundation has collaborated with and supported 550 charitable organizations worldwide. The foundation's philanthropic achievements have been a central aspect of the company's community engagement endeavours over the past decade.
