Accenture & Snowflake launch group to accelerate AI adoption

Fri, 5th Dec 2025

Accenture and Snowflake have broadened their partnership with the creation of the Accenture Snowflake Business Group, aiming to help enterprises accelerate the adoption of generative AI and data transformation. The initiative builds on both companies' existing relationship and targets organisations seeking to leverage data and AI technologies, with Caterpillar named as an early client.

Business group

The Accenture Snowflake Business Group will combine Snowflake's data and AI platform with Accenture's experience in industry and AI. It is supported by more than 5,000 Accenture SnowPro-certified professionals, representing what the companies state is the largest talent pool in the ecosystem. The group's focus will be to help clients migrate to the cloud, develop AI-ready data foundations, and implement AI-powered solutions intended to generate business value.

Clients will have access to joint expertise across cloud migration, data management, and AI applications, facilitated through a global Centre of Excellence. Here, teams from both companies will work side-by-side with client organisations on technology application and asset creation for data-driven projects.

Focus on transformation

According to Accenture's research, a significant majority of business leaders are driving increased investment in AI, with 85% planning to raise AI spending during the year. In the same study, 67% view AI primarily as a means to generate revenue growth instead of only as a cost-saving tool.

The business group is positioned to assist organisations looking to treat data as a core asset. The strategy incorporates the use of Accenture's AI Refinery platform alongside Snowflake's tools, aiming to support the development of custom data architecture and to lay the foundation for future agentic capabilities at scale.

Client partnership

Caterpillar, the industrial equipment manufacturer, is working with both Accenture and Snowflake to use its operational data for decisions in manufacturing, finance, and knowledge management. This cooperation aims to support Caterpillar's wider AI and data ambitions by combining Caterpillar's internal AI centre, Accenture's global delivery and industry expertise, and Snowflake's AI capabilities.

"Our work with Accenture and Snowflake marks a major step forward in our journey to become a truly AI-and-data-driven organization. Our collaboration, coupled with the Caterpillar IT AI COE, will allow us to make faster, data-informed decisions that improve efficiency, enhance quality, and deliver greater value," said Jamie Engstrom, CIO, Caterpillar.
