Citrix has added two managed services to its Platform Flex offering: Experience Insights Flex and SecurSpaces Flex.
The move expands its credit-based service model beyond desktop-as-a-service into workspace observability and cloud development environments.
Platform Flex lets customers buy a shared pool of credits and use them over time across different services. The two additions are designed to reduce the need for customers to build and run more of their own supporting infrastructure.
Experience Insights Flex is a managed observability service built on the Splunk Cloud Platform. It brings together telemetry from Citrix DaaS sessions, endpoints, applications, network connections, browser and software-as-a-service activity, and security signals into prebuilt dashboards.
The service is aimed at IT, end-user computing, and security teams that need to monitor user experience, performance, and security across a wider mix of environments. Customers can use it to investigate performance issues, track the effects of operating system migrations and application rollouts, and support security investigations.
The launch reflects a broader shift in enterprise IT as organisations try to make sense of more distributed applications, endpoints, and AI workloads. Citrix cited a Gartner forecast that 40% of organisations deploying AI will use dedicated AI observability tools to monitor model performance by 2028.
Observability push
Experience Insights Flex removes the need for customers to procure, deploy, and govern a separate analytics backend for observability and security work. It also serves as a common telemetry layer for authorised IT, operations, engineering, and security staff.
Citrix is offering the service as a fully managed model rather than software customers deploy themselves. That approach may appeal to enterprises that want analytics and monitoring tools without adding another platform to maintain.

Splunk, which underpins the observability service, described the product as a way to shift attention from systems management to operational insight. The partnership also gives Citrix a way to link its end-user computing footprint with a well-established analytics platform.

"Through our collaboration with Citrix, Experience Insights Flex helps organizations operationalize workspace telemetry more quickly, giving IT and security teams access to enterprise-grade analytics and actionable visibility," Pimpalkhare said.
Developer environments
The second service, SecurSpaces Flex, is aimed at software developers and AI-related workloads. Citrix described it as a hosted platform that provides Linux-based cloud workspaces for coding, building, and testing while allowing customers to retain control of identity, source code, policies, and data.
The service also targets what Citrix calls agentic workloads, including sandbox environments for AI agents and their harnesses. These environments include controlled ingress and egress, along with observability and data loss prevention features.
By running the control plane, hosting, databases, workspaces, and scaling itself, Citrix is trying to remove infrastructure work from customers while keeping governance in the hands of the enterprise. That could matter for regulated organisations, contractors, and teams handling sensitive code or data.
Citrix said SecurSpaces Flex can reduce reliance on local developer machines and overprovisioned virtual desktop infrastructure for compute-heavy development tasks. Customers will also be able to use the same Flex credit pool for both Citrix DaaS and SecurSpaces workspaces, allowing employers to mix standard productivity environments with separate development workspaces.
Broader strategy
The expansion shows how Citrix is trying to extend its role beyond desktop delivery into the operational tooling around modern work. Rather than selling only access to applications and desktops, it is adding services for monitoring, security, and development workflows under a single consumption model.
That matters because enterprise workplace environments now span virtual desktops, physical devices, browser-based applications, and cloud-based development systems. As those estates become harder to manage, suppliers are increasingly packaging infrastructure-heavy functions as managed services.
Both Experience Insights Flex and SecurSpaces Flex are available now. The services build on the initial DaaS Flex offer and give customers a way to apply one pool of credits across employee productivity, monitoring, and secure software development.
