DevRev has joined the OpenAI Marketplace as a launch partner. Eligible OpenAI enterprise customers can apply part of their existing OpenAI commitment to qualifying DevRev products.

Customers can find DevRev through the Marketplace Directory and contract directly with the company for its enterprise offerings. The arrangement gives DevRev a route into organisations that already spend with OpenAI and want to use part of that commitment on partner software.

DevRev sells software designed to connect business systems so companies can manage customer support and internal employee requests through AI-assisted workflows. Its tools are intended to work across enterprise systems while applying existing permissions, policies and workflow rules.

The company highlighted use cases in employee service and customer support. In one example, an employee can request access to standard software in Slack. The system can then apply identity and entitlement policies, provision an approved licence, update the relevant system of record and log the action.

If a request is sensitive or falls outside standard rules, the system routes it to the appropriate person with the relevant context attached. This model is designed to handle routine tasks automatically while passing more complex or exceptional work to staff.

Service workflows

On the customer side, the platform targets routine and repeatable support issues that can be resolved using an organisation's knowledge base and service history. When a case requires deeper judgement, the context moves with the request so the customer does not need to restart the process.

For more complex product and technical service issues, DevRev creates multi-player rooms that bring together relevant staff and background information in a shared conversation. The company presents this as part of a broader shift in service operations, in which some work can be completed by autonomous systems while other work still depends on human oversight and decision-making.

That split is increasingly visible in corporate service environments. Businesses are trying to reduce queues for standard requests while preserving accountability for tasks involving discretion, approvals or customer relationships.

DevRev says its system connects enterprise business applications to create what it describes as persistent memory while keeping permissions intact. In practice, this means AI agents can access information and take approved actions within defined boundaries, record those actions and escalate work when expert judgement or approval is required.

Founded in 2021, DevRev is led by Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dheeraj Pandey and Co-Founder Manoj Agarwal. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto and operates globally across eight offices.

The Marketplace arrangement also reflects a wider effort by OpenAI to broaden how large corporate customers buy software linked to its models and platform. By allowing enterprise customers to direct part of an existing commitment to partner products, OpenAI is creating a commercial channel that could help software vendors reach buyers already committed to AI spending.

For DevRev, that matters because its products sit in areas where companies are under pressure to automate routine service work without loosening controls around approvals, records and system access. Internal service desks and customer support operations are often spread across fragmented tools, making them a common target for AI-based workflow products.

"OpenAI is changing the intelligence available to every business. DevRev makes that intelligence operational across customer and employee service, where customers expect resolution and employees need the knowledge and ability to move work forward," said Adnan Bhutta, CVP, Business and Alliances at DevRev.

"The OpenAI Marketplace gives customers a more direct way to bring DevRev into their AI strategy through the OpenAI commitment they already have," Bhutta added.

OpenAI also framed the move as part of a broader partner strategy for enterprise customers. "Businesses trust OpenAI for frontier intelligence, and they want that same intelligence in tools they use every day. With the OpenAI Marketplace, enterprise customers can now use their existing OpenAI commitments to access solutions built by partners like DevRev on OpenAI's models and platform. Together, we're combining our frontier intelligence with DevRev's platform to give customers more choice in how they put AI to work," said Brian Landsman, VP, Global Partnerships at OpenAI.
