HighPoint Technologies has announced the availability of firmware customisation for all Gen5 and 2nd Gen4 NVMe AIC and Adapter product lines, offering this service free of charge for project and solution partners.

The Rocket 7600 and 1600 series adapters are designed to support up to 32 NVMe devices from a single PCIe x16 slot, enhancing scalability and flexibility for customers. The advanced device management capabilities of these adapters are possible through the use of the SMBus interface, which retrieves vital field-replaceable unit data, including device identification and manufacturing details, as well as NVMe device and performance metrics, depending on manufacturer support.
