LabelBlind secures USD $500,000 to boost global food labelling

Fri, 28th Nov 2025

LabelBlind has secured USD $500,000 in seed funding to accelerate development of its FoLSol platform and support expansion into more than 30 global markets. The company, founded in 2023, provides a software-as-a-service platform that automates compliance and food labelling for food producers and exporters.

Market expansion

The company serves some of India's largest food brands, such as Hindustan Unilever, ITC Hotels, and Tata Starbucks. Its customer base spans packaged food, fresh food, eCommerce, and export segments. With this new investment, LabelBlind intends to accelerate the growth of its proprietary food labelling solution and increase its focus on global regulatory requirements. This expansion will cover markets such as the USA, Canada, Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, the Gulf Cooperation Council region, Southeast Asia, and other emerging markets.

Platform development

LabelBlind's FoLSol platform automates multiple stages of the labelling process, from label creation and validation to regulatory audits. The company announced it will use the new capital to develop further AI models that can read, interpret, and validate food labels in minutes. The company said its technology reduces the compliance validation process from 8 to 10 hours to around 30 minutes, aiming to eliminate manual entry and reduce human error while supporting quicker market launches.

Regulatory complexity

Food companies face increasingly complex challenges in keeping up with regulatory updates, creating and validating region-specific labels, and managing risk exposure. LabelBlind's system offers country-specific regulation management, multilingual support, and ready-to-print label capabilities on a unified platform. The technology also maps cross-border regulatory linkages and helps interpret differences between markets, streamlining compliance tasks for businesses operating internationally.

Customer adoption

LabelBlind's technology is currently used by brands such as Bikanervala, Everest Masale, Goldiee Group, Swiggy, and Tim Hortons, as well as by established multinational and Indian food groups. The company is in talks with India's largest food producers to further extend the digitisation of labelling workflows and build advanced compliance analytics capabilities.

Founder's perspective

"At LabelBlind, we believe that food labelling compliance shouldn't be a regulatory burden. Our technology enables companies to reduce manual processes, eliminate human oversight risks, and accelerate time-to-market, all while ensuring 100% regulatory compliance. This seed funding is more than a mere financial investment; it is a validation of our vision to make India the most trusted and transparent food-exporting nation in the world," said Dr. Rashida Vapiwala, Founder CEO, LabelBlind.
