Oracle unveils AI-driven enhancements for cloud recruiting tools

Thu, 16th Oct 2025

Oracle has unveiled new artificial intelligence-powered features in Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting as part of its Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) portfolio, intended to create a more personalised and effective job-seeking and hiring experience.

The new enhancements centre around Oracle Career Coach, which uses agentic AI built via Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications. The tool analyses both internal and external candidate backgrounds, skills and interests to improve job matching quality and provide recruiters with deeper insights into talent pools.

Industry challenges

According to Nagaraj Nadendla, Senior Vice President of HCM Product Development at Oracle, the current employment market presents significant difficulties for both job seekers and recruiters. He said:

"Job seekers today face a highly competitive and often frustrating hiring landscape, while recruiters are overwhelmed by high volumes of poorly matched candidates and struggle to efficiently identify top talent. Oracle Career Coach applies AI to remove these obstacles and streamline the process from exploration to application. It will help job seekers find the right opportunities faster, empower greater internal mobility, and enable recruiters to improve efficiency with more qualified applicants."

Oracle states that these new AI capabilities are designed to facilitate a complete AI-driven experience from job discovery through to hire, enabling candidates to submit more targeted applications and helping organisations scale their recruitment processes effectively.

Candidate experience

Oracle Career Coach provides several features designed to personalise the candidate journey. It undertakes a deep analysis of work experience and skills by asking candidates a series of questions, creating a comprehensive talent profile that extends beyond traditional CV data.

The system offers job recommendations personalised to each individual's experience, preferences and aspirations. In addition, candidates receive real-time AI assistance for tasks such as responding to questions, handling qualification screenings, and participating in mock interviews.

Efficiency in recruitment

The solution is also intended to streamline application procedures. Qualified candidates can expedite their applications by having their profile data automatically filled into application forms, receiving AI-generated career summaries, and being guided through the process.

For both recruiters and applicants, interview scheduling is further simplified. The new system coordinates one-click interviews for pre-qualified candidates, and interview timetabling is automated based on interviewer availability.

Brand engagement and flexibility

Oracle says the enhancements aim to create a unified brand experience. The candidate journey is consistent and can be tailored to an organisation's specific processes and branding requirements. The functionality extends across multiple channels, allowing mobile, browser and messaging-based interactions, including through SMS and WhatsApp.

Clients can choose between an Oracle-optimised large language model (LLM) or integrate other providers to adjust the AI-powered experience for unique business requirements.

Integration and further customisation

Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM is described as covering human resource processes throughout the employee lifecycle and includes embedded AI capabilities. The recruiting solutions, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting and Recruiting Booster, are designed to help organisations grow talent pools, support internal mobility, and unify recruitment with other business processes through automation.

Beyond the standard embedded AI agents, Oracle offers customers and partners the option to develop and manage their own AI agents using AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, a platform for building, testing, and deploying AI agents across enterprises.
