Roop Singh appointed Chief Executive Officer at Version 1

Version 1 has named Roop Singh as its new Chief Executive Officer following the departure of former CEO Tom O'Connor seven months ago.

Roop Singh joined Version 1 six months ago as Chief Commercial Officer and will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. This change marks the end of a period of interim executive arrangements since the previous CEO's departure in November.

Leadership background

Singh brings extensive experience to his new position, having previously served as Chief Business Officer and CEO of Americas at Birlasoft. During his tenure at Birlasoft, he was responsible for delivering a significant growth trajectory for the company. His earlier roles include Head of Financial Services US at IBM and senior positions in consulting and financial services at Wipro.

At Version 1, Singh has contributed to key company strategies, strengthened commercial operations, and played a central role in planning the company's next steps for development and expansion.

Appointment confirmed

The appointment was confirmed by Brian Humphries, who had been serving as Executive Chairman and will now resume his initial post as Chairman of the Board.
