Shure to unveil IntelliMix Bar Pro in India at InfoComm
Tue, 1st Sep 2026 (Today)
Shure will present the IntelliMix Bar Pro in India for the first time at InfoComm India 2026 and mark 10 years of Microflex Advance at the event.
The showcase centres on Shure's Microflex Ecosystem for classrooms, meeting rooms and larger flexible spaces, spanning microphones, wireless systems, audio processing, loudspeakers, software and collaboration tools.
India has become a growing focus for audio and collaboration suppliers as organisations and educational institutions invest in connected workplaces and learning environments. Shure is positioning its latest range around that demand, particularly as more users rely on Microsoft Teams and Zoom for everyday meetings and classes.
Research cited by Shure points to broader market momentum. AVIXA's 2025 Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis forecasts global professional AV revenue will rise from USD $332 billion in 2025 to USD $402 billion by 2030, with India identified as a leading market in Asia-Pacific.
Workplace use of artificial intelligence offers another indicator. The Microsoft and LinkedIn 2024 Work Trend Index found that 92% of professionals in India use AI at work, compared with 75% globally, while 91% of business leaders in India believe their organisations need to adopt AI to remain competitive.
That shift has direct implications for meeting-room and classroom audio. As transcription, meeting summaries and other AI-driven functions become more common, the quality of captured speech carries greater weight for businesses and education providers using digital collaboration platforms.
India focus
The IntelliMix Bar Pro sits at the centre of Shure's latest push in India. The all-in-one audio and video collaboration system is designed for medium and large Microsoft Teams Rooms and combines microphone arrays, audio processing, loudspeakers and video features in a single unit.
Shure will also show the MXA925, MXA902, MXA901 and MXA320, along with Microflex Wireless neXt with Fusion Mode, Microflex loudspeakers and SLX-D+. The products are intended for a range of settings, including boardrooms, classrooms and adaptable shared spaces.
The mix reflects a broader effort to expand beyond Shure's traditional strength in microphones and wireless audio into software, cloud management and unified communications. It also highlights the company's deeper ties with Microsoft Teams and Zoom as those platforms become standard tools across offices and campuses.
Decade milestone
InfoComm India 2026 also coincides with a milestone for the Microflex Advance line. Since its introduction in 2016, the portfolio has developed through several generations of array microphone design, digital signal processing, software tools and integration with collaboration platforms.
The anniversary comes as Shure enters its second century. Founded in 1925, the company built its business around audio equipment, with collaboration technology now playing a more prominent role in its commercial strategy.
Viraaj Shidhaye, Senior Sales Manager at Shure, outlined why India has become central to that strategy.
"India is becoming an increasingly important market for professional AV as enterprises and educational institutions invest in more connected and intelligent spaces. At the same time, AI is changing expectations around what a meeting environment needs to deliver, placing greater emphasis on clear audio, reliable performance, and deeper integration with enterprise technology platforms. InfoComm India allows us to demonstrate how the Microflex Ecosystem has continued to evolve to address these requirements across different types of meeting and learning spaces. The first India showcase of IntelliMix Bar Pro, together with the continued development of our MXA portfolio and our work across Microsoft and Zoom, reflects where Shure is heading as we enter our second century."
For Shure, the message is that audio is no longer sold as a stand-alone category in business and education settings. Instead, it is framed as part of a broader collaboration system in which microphones, speakers, software and cloud-based management work together with the dominant meeting platforms.
That approach also reflects changes in how institutions are designing spaces. Universities, schools and companies are increasingly seeking rooms that can support in-person and remote participation at the same time, placing more pressure on audio systems to deliver speech intelligibility across mixed environments.
Within that context, India offers suppliers both volume and variety, from new corporate offices to upgraded teaching spaces. Shure's latest line-up suggests it sees room to grow by addressing that range of use cases with a common ecosystem rather than separate point products.
Its latest solutions are aimed at meeting rooms, boardrooms, classrooms and larger flexible spaces.
