Surveil & AI4SP join forces to guide AI transformations

Mon, 2nd Dec 2024

Surveil and AI4SP have announced a global alliance to guide organisations in responsibly transforming through artificial intelligence (AI).

The partnership seeks to address the discrepancy between the growing adoption of AI and businesses' readiness to leverage it effectively. Currently, while 55% of organisations reportedly use AI, only 11% have progressed beyond the preliminary stages to implement a more thorough, systematic approach.

Neil May, Chief Executive Officer of Surveil, commented on the financial constraints many organisations face: "Two out of every three organisations claim they don't have enough budget to enhance their cybersecurity or to deploy AI – despite these areas being key investment priorities. Informed by millions of insights, our SaaS platform helps them identify inefficiencies in their Azure, AWS, GCP, and M365 implementations, including Microsoft Copilot, to free up to an average of 40% of their budgets for these important strategic investments."

The alliance's dataset provides insights into AI's reach and impact across various sectors, depicting the technology's transformative potential. AI adoption is notably changing work dynamics across the globe, from small businesses to large enterprises and among the mobile-equipped workforce, which numbers around 3 billion individuals.

Despite AI's potential for high returns—teams reportedly spend 80% of their time on tasks where AI can deliver returns on investment (ROI) threefold to tenfold—executives often struggle to identify feasible implementation scenarios.

Luis Salazar, Chief Executive Officer and founder of AI4SP, emphasised the grassroots nature of AI adoption: "The AI revolution isn't happening in boardrooms – 90% of AI innovation comes from small organisations, and 65% of global AI adoption is driven by individuals using AI without corporate guidance. Generative AI adoption is a grassroots movement reshaping society, and traditional top-down analysis misses this reality. Combining our insights on global AI adoption and skills gaps with Surveil's cloud and productivity software usage data, we're creating the world's most comprehensive view to guide organisations toward responsible AI transformation."

Surveil is renowned for its ability to provide data-driven insights that help organisations optimise technology spending based on real usage patterns. It also identifies areas ripe for strategic investment, including AI and cybersecurity.

Surveil's approach is to convert technology waste into value, effectively freeing up resources that can be redirected towards AI initiatives. This aligns with AI4SP's focus on providing tailored market insights and transformation guidance useful for plotting an AI roadmap.

Neil May of Surveil stated, "As Generative AI adoption accelerates its impact across industries, organisations must balance the promise of AI with the realities of budget constraints. Our partnership with AI4SP enables us to provide a unique blend of insights and tools that empower businesses to optimise their cloud efficiency. By doing so, they can unlock resources for AI investment, driving not just economic growth but meaningful societal progress. Together, we are charting a path for organisations to transition from AI experimentation to transformative adoption at scale."
