Thu, 22nd Jan 2026

Tech Mahindra has moved up to fourth place among India-headquartered IT services firms for brand strength and ninth globally on the Brand Strength Index, according to Brand Finance's latest IT services study.

Brand Finance assessed Tech Mahindra's Brand Strength Index (BSI) at 78.1, representing a year-on-year increase. The firm valued the Tech Mahindra brand at USD $3.4 billion in 2026, assigning it an AA+ brand rating. These results are part of the Brand Finance IT Services 25 Report 2026, which tracks the most valuable and strongest IT services brands worldwide.

Brand Measures

Brand Finance benchmarks IT services brands across several criteria, including brand strength, customer familiarity, consideration, reputation, and long-term growth prospects. Tech Mahindra was among the five brands with the largest gains in BSI ranking, which the company attributed to its brand-building initiatives over the past year.

In 2025, on its 39th anniversary, Tech Mahindra refreshed its brand identity as part of a strategic evolution focused on AI and digital transformation. The updated identity introduced a modern visual language and a 'lozenge' symbol, inspired by the Mahindra Group's Rise beam.

The company highlighted its marketing initiatives, including the Global Chess League, as part of its broader engagement program. Tech Mahindra framed the Brand Finance result as a reflection of its messaging on scaling and AI, emphasising responsible AI adoption aligned with real business outcomes through slogans such as "Scale at Speed" and "AI Delivered Right."

Peeyush Dubey, Chief Marketing Officer at Tech Mahindra, said:

"This recognition underscores the clarity of our 'Scale at Speed' promise and the effectiveness of our thoughtful brand refresh. Our brand properties, such as the Global Chess League, help us deepen engagement and build long-term brand equity worldwide. As enterprises accelerate AI adoption, our 'AI Delivered Right' strategy ensures innovation that is responsible, scalable, and anchored in real business outcomes."

Brand Finance noted that competition in global IT services is intensifying. Brand strength is closely linked to a company's ability to remain relevant with customers and stakeholders across markets. Strategic themes highlighted in the report include responsible AI adoption, platforms, and international expansion.

David Haigh, Chairman and CEO of Brand Finance, said:

"Tech Mahindra's improved position in the global IT services ranking and its record-high Brand Strength Index score underscore the company's focus on brand building, innovation, and stakeholder engagement. These results reflect a clear strategy centered on responsible AI adoption, differentiated platforms, and a growing global footprint, enhancing brand relevance and resilience amid intensifying competition."

Tech Mahindra said the Brand Finance ranking reflects rising brand equity, placing it ninth among the Top 25 Most Valuable IT Services Brands. The company plans to continue focusing on brand development and its positioning in AI and digital transformation as customer activity in these areas grows.
