Tue, 26th Aug 2025

UiPath has announced the appointment of Michael Atalla as its new Chief Marketing Officer, with responsibility for all aspects of the company's global marketing strategy.

Michael Atalla will join UiPath's executive team, taking charge of functions such as brand, performance, demand generation, and communications. His role will be focused on supporting UiPath's direction in agentic automation and orchestration, and advancing customer adoption of agentic artificial intelligence across business processes.

Leadership experience

Atalla brings over two decades of marketing leadership experience, having worked in several high-profile positions across the technology sector. Before joining UiPath, he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Worldwide Marketing at F5, an application security and delivery firm, where he led global marketing execution for the past four years.

Previously, Atalla founded and led The MJJM Group, offering guidance to early-stage companies aiming to achieve initial funding and growth targets. His previous experience also includes nearly fifteen years at Microsoft in various marketing leadership roles, where he was a key figure in the shift of Microsoft Office from its original on-premise model to Office 365, now a leader in cloud productivity services.

Atalla has also contributed time to organisations such as City Year Seattle and the Yellow Wood Academy, focusing on initiatives to improve education equity and access for diverse communities.

Atalla's perspective

"I'm excited to join UiPath at this pivotal moment in its journey," said Atalla. "The company's vision, platform, and leadership form a powerful combination to help customers across industries and the globe realise the full potential of AI. This is a transformative moment in technology, and I am excited to bring my experience to build on UiPath's success and cement its leadership in shaping the agentic revolution and the future of automation."

Strategic priorities

As Chief Marketing Officer, Atalla is expected to play a key role in extending UiPath's prominence in agentic AI, driving market awareness, and solidifying its category position. His appointment comes as UiPath seeks to deliver agentic automation-based solutions designed to transform complex business processes and improve business outcomes for clients.

UiPath's CEO, Daniel Dines, commented on the new appointment and the strategic goals ahead for the company.

"This next chapter in our story depends on our ability to combine stories of real-world success with industry-defining solutions and partners to bring value to our customers," said UiPath CEO Daniel Dines. "Michael brings deep product marketing expertise and technical credibility, making him the ideal leader to help us transform customer outcomes and drive the agentic category leadership that will define our future. He understands how to build brands that move markets, and he shares our belief in the transformational power of AI agents – a belief that defines how UiPath will empower customers in the agentic AI era with clarity, urgency, and impact."

Background and outlook

UiPath has positioned itself as a global provider focused on agentic automation, working with customers to implement AI-powered solutions that seek to improve operational efficiency and process effectiveness. The appointment of a new Chief Marketing Officer with a background in both established technology companies and start-up advisory supports UiPath's ambitions in maintaining and expanding its market footprint.
