V2 AI wins Databricks Silver Partner status in APAC

Wed, 8th Apr 2026

V2 AI has been recognised as a Databricks Silver Partner, placing the Asia-Pacific data and AI consultancy in an earned tier of the Databricks partner programme.

The status is awarded to partners that meet benchmarks for performance, revenue generation and team certification, while demonstrating customer success and alignment with Databricks technology. For V2 AI, the recognition provides formal backing from a major data platform provider as it looks to deepen its presence in the regional market.

Founded in 2023, V2 AI operates across Asia Pacific, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Kuala Lumpur. It works on data engineering, analytics and AI projects for organisations in financial services, the public sector, and energy and utilities.

Databricks' partner programme is designed to identify consultancies and service providers with experience delivering projects on its platform. Silver status sits above entry-level participation and indicates that a partner has built a certified team and a track record of customer delivery.

Craig Howe, chief executive officer and founder of V2 AI, described the recognition as a marker of the company's progress.

"Becoming a Databricks Silver Partner is an important step for V2 AI," Howe said.

He said it reflected the consultancy's work on data infrastructure and business use cases.

"It validates the work our team is doing to help organisations build scalable, high-performance data platforms and turn data into real business outcomes," he said.

Client work

V2 AI said its work with Databricks spans architecture, governance, performance and cost optimisation. It also highlighted industry-specific platform configurations as part of its approach for customers seeking to modernise data estates and deploy AI systems.

The consultancy said it uses its Enterprise Velocity continuous delivery model to structure customer programmes. According to V2 AI, the model includes pre-built AI agents, simulation tools, governance structures and reusable delivery assets designed to take projects from early concept to production.

That positioning reflects a broader trend in the consulting market, where firms are trying to distinguish themselves not only through technical implementation but also through packaged methods and repeatable delivery models. As demand for AI projects grows, platform vendors such as Databricks increasingly rely on partners to help customers integrate tools into existing technology stacks and manage data governance requirements.

For Databricks, expanding the number of accredited partners in Australia and New Zealand is part of a broader push to build local delivery capacity. Customers in regulated industries often require implementation support that combines platform knowledge with sector-specific compliance and operational experience.

Adam Beavis, vice president and country manager for Databricks in Australia and New Zealand, said partners remain central to that effort.

"Partners like V2 AI play a critical role in helping our customers maximise the value of data and AI on the Databricks Platform," Beavis said.

He said the designation reflected the consultancy's development in the market.

"Their achievement of Silver Partner status highlights their growing expertise and commitment to customer success in the region," he said.

Regional push

The recognition comes as consultancies across Asia Pacific compete for work tied to data modernisation and AI deployment. Many companies have moved beyond pilot projects and are now trying to connect AI initiatives to existing data systems, internal controls and measurable operational outcomes. That has increased the importance of implementation partners with certifications tied to major software platforms.

V2 AI said it will continue to invest in Databricks-related certification and development as organisations deal with more complex data and AI demands. Its footprint across Australia and Malaysia gives it a base in several markets where public and private sector spending on data platforms remains active.

"With deep technical expertise and proven methods, V2 provides trusted delivery across every layer of the Databricks platform, from architecture and performance to governance and cost optimisation. Our industry-specific solutions provide Databricks customisation that accelerates business outcomes and maximises return on investment," Howe said.
