AONMeetings to launch low-cost video calls in India
AONMeetings plans to launch its video conferencing service in India within two weeks, introducing local subscription plans that start at INR ₹169 per month.
The Des Moines-based provider will offer pricing aimed at individual users, small firms and larger organisations in sectors such as healthcare, education and religious services. The company already serves customers in several regulated industries and promotes its compliance with HIPAA standards in the United States.
The India launch will introduce three fixed-price monthly tiers. Users will not need to sign annual contracts. The Starter plan costs INR ₹169 per month and supports up to 10 participants on calls and webinars. The Professional plan costs INR ₹339 per month and supports up to 25 participants. The Business plan costs INR ₹599 per month and supports up to 100 participants. The company will also offer an Enterprise tier with customised pricing for larger organisations.
AONMeetings said that every tier will include webinar hosting as part of the package. Many rival services sell webinar functions as a separate product or add-on.
India has seen a rapid adoption of online communication tools since the pandemic, with multinational and local platforms competing for business and consumer users. Price-sensitive segments such as freelancers, smaller educational institutions, and community organisations have driven demand for lower-cost web browser-based products.
Dwight Reed, Chief Executive and Founder of AONMeetings, said the company saw an opportunity in this market shift. "India represents one of the world's fastest-growing markets for digital communication solutions, and we're excited to bring AONMeetings' reliable, secure platform to Indian consumers and organisations alike," said Reed.
"Our India-specific pricing reflects our commitment to making professional-grade video conferencing accessible to everyone across the country-from individuals and families to small businesses, religious communities, and large enterprises. With flexible month-to-month billing, users can scale their communication tools as they grow without long-term contracts."
AONMeetings delivers its service through a browser-based interface. Users do not need to download a separate application. The company said this approach supports access from a range of devices and could suit users with limited control over software installation on corporate hardware.
The company said the platform meets HIPAA security requirements. It uses encryption and privacy controls designed for sectors that handle sensitive information, such as healthcare. AONMeetings said its service runs on infrastructure designed for 99.9% uptime.
The platform supports multiple languages. The company expects this feature to matter for organisations that operate across Indian states or overseas Indian communities.
AONMeetings also plans to support local payment methods for Indian customers. The firm said this would align billing with common consumer and business payment practices in the country.
The company said it sees potential demand from a broad mix of user groups. It highlighted personal users, freelancers, content creators, coaches and small businesses as likely customers. It also cited use cases in religious services, including streaming services, hosting prayer meetings and running religious education classes.
AONMeetings said it will provide tailored options for large organisations that need higher participant limits or specific compliance features. These customers will negotiate custom plans under the Enterprise tier.
The company currently reports a 4.9-star rating on software review site G2. It said it serves more than 1,000 businesses globally in healthcare, education, legal, religious and corporate sectors.
Reed said Indian users often face higher costs for webinar functions when they choose global platforms. "Unlike competitors that charge premium fees for webinar capabilities-often $79 or more per month-AONMeetings includes integrated webinar functionality in every plan at no additional cost, making it an exceptional value for anyone who needs both video conferencing and webinar hosting," said Reed.
The company plans dedicated customer support aligned with Indian business hours. It will also offer resources aimed at local market needs, including onboarding materials and usage guides for first-time users of video conferencing tools.
"Indian consumers and organisations deserve access to world-class video conferencing technology without the premium price tag," added Reed. "Whether you're a content creator in Delhi, a religious leader streaming services, a freelance consultant, a startup in Bangalore, a healthcare clinic in Mumbai, or an educational institution, AONMeetings provides the tools you need to connect, collaborate, and grow your community."
