Yesterday

Apple has announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be held online from 9 to 13 June 2025.

The technology company is offering the event free of charge to all developers, with notable activities including insights into the latest advancements in Apple software. A special in-person event will also take place at Apple Park on 9 June where developers and students will have the opportunity to celebrate together.

The conference aims to provide developers with access to Apple experts, showcasing new tools, frameworks, and features. Susan Prescott, Apple's Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "We're excited to mark another incredible year of WWDC with our global developer community. We can't wait to share the latest tools and technologies that will empower developers and help them continue to innovate."

Participants can follow the proceedings through various channels including the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel. The event will feature numerous video sessions and offer participants the chance to engage in online labs with Apple engineers and designers.

An in-person experience at Apple Park will allow developers to watch the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union, as well as meet directly with Apple experts through individual and group sessions. Although space is limited, details on participation can be found on the WWDC25 website.

Apple is continuing its support for aspiring developers via the Swift Student Challenge. Notification for this year's applicants will occur on 27 March. Successful applicants and 50 Distinguished Winners, recognised for their outstanding submissions, will be invited to a special three-day event in Cupertino, California.

Further details regarding the conference will be communicated via the Apple Developer app and WWDC25 website as the event date approaches. The event reinforces Apple's commitment to nurture the next generation of developers amidst its other initiatives supporting entrepreneurs, coders, and designers.
