Neat strengthens focus on Asia Pacific hybrid work markets
Norwegian video collaboration company Neat is accelerating its focus in the Asia Pacific region. Changes in work styles are boosting demand for hybrid work solutions in markets like Singapore and India.
The introduction of Singapore's Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangements and actions by companies such as Grab to reinstate full-time office mandates highlights shifting work dynamics that Neat seeks to address with its technology. Neat aims to support businesses in balancing office-based and flexible work models by providing simple, data-driven meeting solutions.
Neat has established itself in the Asia Pacific market, counting over 13,000 customers globally and increasing its efforts in this region. It tailors its offerings to meet the demands of hybrid work environments, particularly in urban hubs like Singapore and India.
Niko Walraven, Area Vice President of APAC at Neat, stated, "The growing demand for advanced video collaboration tools across Asia reflects a broader shift towards more inclusive and intuitive communication technologies. As businesses in key markets like Singapore and India adapt to hybrid work environments, collaboration solutions that prioritise meeting equity and seamless connectivity are becoming essential."
"Neat goes beyond basic video communication, offering intuitive, AI-powered technology that enables real, human connections — no matter the location or the distance. We continue to ramp up our focus on innovation to ensure equitable meeting experiences and seamless connectivity for all participants."
Neat's growth has been marked by industry recognition. It has received accolades from Frost & Sullivan for innovation and won six Red Dot Awards for design excellence, signalling the company's prominence in both functionality and design.
The focus within Singaporean enterprises has evolved from simply using video communications to enhancing the work environment through collaboration technology. "Given the increasing cost of real estate, companies are reevaluating their workspace strategies and turning to video collaboration tools to maximise office space and create positive employee experiences," Walraven said.
Neat's devices, equipped with sensors monitoring room conditions like temperature and air quality, offer valuable data to facilities managers, aligning well with preferences in Singapore.
The company's expansion in India has been notable. Its solutions are gaining traction as the country strengthens its innovation sector beyond IT services. Neat has grown its partner network in India significantly, with expectations of further market opportunities.
Walraven noted, "The Indian market offers tremendous growth potential for Neat, and we expect our opportunities to expand significantly next year. Hybrid and remote work arrangements have enabled professionals to work from their home states instead of being limited to major hubs. With many large Indian corporations operating across multiple cities, there is a strong demand for efficient collaboration tools that can seamlessly connect their distributed teams."
Neat's approach combines technology with considerations for design and employee engagement. It works with furniture and workspace design firms to integrate video technology into ergonomic office designs. This strategy aims to transform hybrid workspaces into environments that boost employee involvement and optimise management.
Committed to advancing AI innovations, Neat continues to refine its devices with features like background noise reduction and real-time video quality adjustments, enhancing the video collaboration experience for its users.
