Nintex has appointed Amy Payne as chief marketing officer. She joins the software company from Talkdesk.

Payne will lead Nintex's global marketing organisation, overseeing marketing strategy and execution as the company looks to strengthen its position in workflow automation and process management.

She brings more than 25 years of business-to-business technology marketing experience, spanning brand marketing, demand generation, customer and partner marketing, regional and digital marketing, and go-to-market strategy.

Most recently, Payne was vice president of global customer, partner, regional and digital marketing at Talkdesk. During six years there, she held a series of senior roles, starting as vice president of marketing for the Americas before moving into a broader global position covering customer, partner, events, regional and digital marketing.

Before that, she spent more than a decade in marketing leadership roles at Dassault Systèmes, where her responsibilities included global brand, advertising and creative strategy, as well as demand generation and direct and indirect channel marketing in North America.

The appointment comes as Nintex builds its position around what it calls agentic business orchestration, where companies are combining business processes, data and artificial intelligence tools in operational workflows.

Chief executive officer Stephen Elop said Payne's experience across brand, demand and sales alignment made her a strong fit for the role.

"Amy has a real talent for building brands, creating demand, forging strong relationships with customers and partners, and for keeping marketing and sales aligned to deliver business results," Elop said.

He added that her mix of strategic and operational experience would support the company's next stage of expansion.

"That mix of big-picture thinking and hands-on execution will help us drive our vision for agentic business orchestration. Amy will play an important role in sharpening how we bring the Nintex story to market, expanding our reach, and helping drive the company's next phase of growth," Elop said.

Career path

Payne's career has focused on marketing leadership in enterprise technology, combining regional execution with global oversight. She has built and led teams across markets and developed marketing strategies tied to business results.

Her appointment puts an experienced software marketing executive in charge of how Nintex presents itself to customers and partners worldwide. In business software, the chief marketing officer role often includes product positioning, customer acquisition, partner engagement and market messaging.

Nintex serves organisations in the public and private sectors, selling software for process management, workflow orchestration and low-code development. Thousands of organisations use its products through its direct operations and partner network, according to the company.

Payne said Nintex's approach to automation and artificial intelligence drew her to the role.

"Nintex has a real opportunity to change how global organisations think about automation in the age of AI," Payne said.

She also highlighted the company's team, customer base and partner relationships.

"What drew me here was the combination of an innovative team and platform, an incredibly strong customer and partner ecosystem, and a clear vision of bringing automation and AI together to power work. I'm looking forward to working with the entire Nintex team to deepen customer relationships, build demand, and accelerate growth," Payne said.
