Recast adds Intune tools for hybrid endpoint teams
Mon, 4th May 2026 (Today)
Recast has expanded its Right Click Tools product with new features for organisations managing devices across ConfigMgr and Intune. The update targets IT teams working in hybrid Microsoft endpoint environments.
New capabilities cover device management in Intune, Entra ID and Autopilot, alongside changes to patching and device fleet visibility. The latest release aims to reduce the need for administrators to switch between consoles while handling day-to-day endpoint tasks.
Many large organisations run a mix of ConfigMgr and Intune as they shift parts of device management to Microsoft's newer cloud tools. That leaves IT teams managing separate interfaces, different deployment processes and a blend of on-premise and cloud identity systems.
Users can now launch Intune Remote Help directly from the browser and register devices in Autopilot without manual scripting or CSV uploads. Administrators can also retrieve LAPS passwords across hybrid identity environments from a single interface and open Right Click Tools menus from six additional Intune pages, bringing the total to more than 20.
Jake Mosey, Chief Product Officer at Recast, said many customers are not moving entirely to Intune in one step.
"Not all enterprises are migrating fully to Intune. Most are operating in a hybrid reality that will last for years," said Jake Mosey, Chief Product Officer, Recast.
He said Recast sees its role as making Microsoft's management tools fit enterprise operations.
"Microsoft built the foundation. As the operational layer for enterprises running Microsoft endpoint management at scale, our job is to make it work in a way that supports how IT actually runs," said Mosey.
Patching changes
Another part of the update focuses on third-party application patching, an area that remains difficult for large IT estates with hundreds or thousands of installed programs. Right Click Tools Patching draws from a catalogue of more than 6,000 applications.
Under the changes, administrators can configure settings for individual applications without creating a separate deployment process when a program needs a custom setting. Users can also set up ConfigMgr or Intune deployment processes to allow 32-bit applications to be installed on 64-bit machines.
The patching module also lets teams restart all paused deployment processes with one click and view all deployment process events on a single page. That is intended to make scheduling and reviewing deployment activity easier in larger environments.
Device visibility
Recast has also added features to its Insights module through the Warranty Dashboard. The tool is intended to give IT leaders a clearer view of hardware coverage so they can track refresh cycles and identify devices nearing the end of warranty.
Users can determine device age and remaining coverage, filter coverage by status, and drill into devices by status and warranty expiration timeline. In practice, that gives operations teams a way to tie hardware planning more closely to support and replacement decisions.
The product line spans modules for patching, insights and privileged access. Recent additions across the wider platform were shaped by customer feedback and input from its user community, with incremental updates added each month.
Recast said its software is used to manage more than 60 million endpoints worldwide.
