Saicon has acquired Nagpur-based Pragmatyc, adding an AI and AIoT specialist to its business.

Pragmatyc focuses on artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, data engineering and digital engineering services. The acquisition brings Pragmatyc into Saicon's broader technology and delivery organisation as it expands work for enterprise customers in the United States and other markets.

Founded in 1998, Saicon provides technology, engineering and consulting services to enterprise clients. It has more than 1,600 employees and serves more than 80 customers through operations and delivery centres in the United States and India.

Pragmatyc, based in Nagpur, works on Enterprise AI, AIoT, computer vision, predictive analytics and connected systems. The business adds specialist engineering talent at a time when many corporate customers are trying to connect data, applications and physical operations more closely.

Integration plans

The immediate priority is to integrate the two teams and combine Pragmatyc's expertise with Saicon's existing work across applications, cloud, data, engineering and enterprise technology. The combined group plans to support customers in areas including enterprise data integration, workflow automation, predictive analytics and connected operations.

The transaction also gives Pragmatyc access to Saicon's international client base and broader services portfolio. That is expected to allow the Nagpur team to participate in larger customer programmes across a wider set of markets.

The deal comes as companies seek to move artificial intelligence projects beyond pilot programmes and isolated use cases. Many businesses have already invested in cloud systems, automation tools and connected devices, but those systems often remain separate, making it harder to turn operational and enterprise data into usable decisions.

The combined business will focus on applying AI within existing enterprise environments rather than treating it as a standalone technology project. Saicon pointed to uses such as quality inspection through computer vision, predictive maintenance, workflow automation and visibility across connected assets.

Sector focus

The acquisition is particularly relevant to industries where business systems and physical operations need to work together closely. Manufacturing is one of the clearest examples, where connected technologies and AI can support production visibility, plant data analysis, equipment monitoring and quality control.

Similar applications are also being pursued in logistics, healthcare and retail, where operators often manage large volumes of data across distributed environments. Pragmatyc's background in AI engineering and intelligent automation is expected to help address these operational demands.

The purchase follows Saicon's earlier acquisitions of SilverSearch in the United States and Valethi Technologies in Nagpur. Together, those deals point to a strategy of expanding delivery capacity, building specialist skills and strengthening the company's position in the US market.

Ramesh Lokre, founder and CEO of Saicon, outlined the rationale for the acquisition: "The acquisition of Pragmatyc strengthens Saicon's capabilities in two areas that are becoming increasingly important to our clients - Enterprise AI and AIoT. By combining Pragmatyc's expertise with Saicon's global client relationships and delivery scale, we will be better positioned to help enterprises build intelligent, connected and more efficient operations."

For Pragmatyc, the transaction marks a shift from operating as a specialist standalone provider to becoming part of a larger cross-border services group. Its team is expected to work jointly with Saicon on customer opportunities, service development and the expansion of AI and AIoT work.

Praful Lichade described the deal as an opportunity to reach a wider market. "Joining the Saicon Group is an exciting milestone in Pragmatyc's journey. This partnership gives us the opportunity to combine our AI engineering expertise with Saicon's global reach, enabling us to deliver innovative Enterprise AI solutions to customers worldwide while creating exciting growth opportunities for our team," he said.
