Gallagher Security has appointed Manikandan Damodaran and Harikrishnan Pillai to its India team, expanding its sales and technical leadership in the market.
Damodaran joins as Head of Sales, a newly created senior role focused on business growth and expansion in India. Pillai has been appointed Senior Technical Account Executive and is based in Chennai.
Deneshkumar V, General Manager - India, said the appointments are intended to support rising demand and a broader partner network across the country, adding sales leadership and technical support as the business grows.
Damodaran will oversee business development across regional and vertical segments, including strategic planning, oversight of sales execution, and engagement with partners and consultants.
He will also focus on opening new opportunities through his professional network, strengthening collaboration with existing and new partners, and building pipeline growth across India.
Damodaran said the move was an opportunity to join a team with ambitious plans in the security sector.
"I am eager to contribute to this journey and create meaningful impact for our customers. My vision is to accelerate growth by combining strong partnerships, market insights, and innovation, transforming how customers value and invest in security," said Damodaran.
Pillai's role centres on partner management, technical support, and sales engagement. He will work with internal teams, channel partners, and end users as Gallagher expands its operations in India.
His appointment strengthens the company's technical support structure as it continues to grow in the country. Pillai brings more than five years of experience in the biometrics and electronic security industry.
His background includes work with access control systems, time and attendance products, and technical sales support, as well as customer support, solution design, and stakeholder coordination.
Pillai described the role as an opportunity to develop within the business while contributing to its market efforts.
"This is a great opportunity to be part of a team that does such meaningful work, and I'm looking forward to learning, contributing, and growing along the way," Pillai said.
India focus
India has become an increasingly important market for security technology suppliers as commercial buildings, industrial sites, and public infrastructure projects adopt more digital access and monitoring systems. For companies operating through indirect sales models, partner management and local technical support are often central to winning and retaining contracts.
Gallagher said the two appointments strengthen its ability to serve both channel partners and end users in India, with a particular emphasis on supporting partner relationships while broadening its reach across regions and customer segments.
Deneshkumar V said the responsibilities would be divided between the two hires, with one role focused on expanding commercial reach and sales execution and the other on technical engagement and support for customers and partners.
That split reflects a common structure among security suppliers seeking growth in India, where market development often depends on both local sales coverage and post-sales technical expertise. In practice, vendors need staff who can work closely with consultants, resellers, systems integrators, and end users.
Gallagher said the appointments will deepen its leadership bench and technical expertise in India as it continues to build its presence in the country. Deneshkumar V said the company aims to strengthen channel partner relationships and create long-term value for Indian end users as the business grows.
