NIIT MTS named Fosway digital learning strategic leader

Mon, 30th Mar 2026

NIIT MTS has been named a Strategic Leader in the Fosway 9-Grid for Digital Learning for the fourth consecutive year.

Fosway Group's 9-Grid model, used primarily in the EMEA market, assesses providers and solutions across five measures: performance, potential, market presence, total cost of ownership and market trajectory.

NIIT MTS, the learning and talent services business of NIIT Learning Systems, said the recognition reflects its position in digital learning for large corporate clients. Fosway's assessment places the company among providers viewed as having both market strength and breadth of service in a competitive workplace learning segment.

The digital learning market has drawn growing attention from employers looking to update workforce skills, manage distributed training and measure the impact of learning programmes more closely. Analyst rankings such as the Fosway 9-Grid are often used by procurement and learning teams as one factor when comparing external training suppliers.

Fosway said its report is based on independent analysis of the current digital learning market. As part of its research into e-learning content and digital skills platforms, the group works with corporate learning teams and reviews information from suppliers.

Myles Runham, Senior Analyst at Fosway Group, said NIIT MTS's position reflects its market presence and range of services for large organisations.

"Extending solution capability and geographic reach is a good strategy to grow your business in a tough, competitive market," said Myles Runham, Senior Analyst, Fosway Group. "NIIT has long been a major presence in the Digital Learning segment with a genuine full-service portfolio and a deep managed service capability for large, complex customers, hence the strong position as a Strategic Leader in our 9-Grid."

NIIT MTS operates in more than 33 countries and focuses on managed learning services and consulting for companies with large-scale training, skills and workforce development needs. Founded in 1981, the business works with multinational clients on outsourced learning operations and related advisory services.

Market position

In the Fosway model, the Strategic Leader category is intended to identify suppliers with a broad suite of services and a strong market position. NIIT MTS said the ranking reflects customer support and its approach to digital learning services, including work involving artificial intelligence.

Sapnesh Lalla, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of NIIT MTS, said the company sees the ranking as a sign of client confidence.

"We are proud to be recognized as a Strategic Leader in digital learning by Fosway Group for the fourth consecutive year. This recognition belongs to our clients as much as it does to us. It reflects the trust they place in NIIT and the outcomes we deliver together," said Sapnesh Lalla, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, NIIT MTS.

He said the company is shaping its learning model around artificial intelligence and organisational skills development.

"What drives that trust is a relentless focus on innovation. We have built an AI-first approach to learning that goes beyond content development and delivery. It is about building deep, future-ready capabilities within organizations that translate directly into improved business performance," said Lalla.

The latest ranking highlights how digital learning providers are judged not only on content production, but also on their ability to deliver managed services at scale across regions and business units. Buyers are increasingly weighing operational delivery, learner engagement, data and technology integration alongside the underlying training material.

For NIIT MTS, the repeat appearance in the Strategic Leader category provides an external benchmark as competition intensifies among suppliers serving multinational companies. Fosway's comments pointed in particular to geographic reach and managed service depth as factors supporting the company's standing in the latest grid.
